Honor Her

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 31:31

Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Mothers deserve heartfelt appreciation and honor for their tireless dedication to their families. Often, their countless contributions go unnoticed and uncelebrated. They selflessly make sacrifices fueled by love, faith, hope, humility, and patience. Let us acknowledge the fruits of her labor, both in private and in public. Give thanks to God for the gift of our mothers and pray for Him to bless them in a special way.

A Confident Woman of God

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 31:25

Strength and honor are her clothing; she is confident about the future.

A virtuous woman of God carries herself with strength and honor in her attitude and her behavior. She is in control of her actions and does everything with purpose and uprightness. She is respected for more than her outward appearance, she is respected for her godliness and holiness. She is confident because she knows God is with her and in control of her life and the future.

God’s Word is Right and True

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 33:4

For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

Every word, every promise, every aspect of God’s Word is inherently right and true. His commands and precepts are righteous and fair, displaying His wisdom and goodness. God’s Word extends equally to all people, offering a path to both heaven and happiness. We can confidently believe every Word, for He is faithfully consistent in all His actions and promises. Unchanging, we can depend on this truth. He deserves our highest praise for His righteousness, truth, and faithfulness.

In the Potter’s Hands

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 18:4

But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

We are the clay pot, marred by sin, often feeling unusable. But in the Potter’s hands He is able to transform us into a new creation. We don’t have to be perfect to be used by God, just willing. Surrendering ourselves to God allows Him to sculpt us into vessels perfectly suited for His purpose and every good work He has planned for us. We may be broken when we come to God, but He can make us whole once more.

Healing for Your Mind, Body, and Soul

Verse of the Day: Luke 13:12

When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”

Jesus already understands your situation, and He is calling you to draw closer because of His love and compassion for you. If you seek healing, turn to Jesus. He has the power to heal your mind, body, and soul. Take the first step toward receiving healing by approaching Jesus with faith. Whatever chains are holding you down, be they physical illness, emotional pain, or past traumas surrender them to Him, allowing His touch to bring forth healing and freedom in your life.

Hope for Today and for the Future

Verse of the Day: Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Without hope, individuals often experience feelings of helplessness, isolation, and powerless. As believers, we recognize that our God is the source of all hope. Hope for healing, hope for peace, hope for joy and hope for the future, here on earth and in heaven. Our hope comes from the knowledge, belief, and trust we place in God. Through His boundless love, grace, and mercy, God has given us the invaluable gift of hope, through the Holy Spirit’s power. If you feel hopeless, seek a relationship with the author of all hope, the Lord our God.

Naomi: Strength of Character

Bible Verse: Ruth 2:20

“The Lord bless him!” Naomi said to her daughter-in-law. “He has not stopped showing his kindness to the living and the dead.”

Strength of character includes attributes like resilience, integrity, courage, and wisdom, enabling an individual to face challenges with determination and act in ways that are consistent with their values and principles. These traits are recognized for the strength they create in individuals. Throughout the Book of Ruth, Naomi displays strength of character in the face of adversity. Instead of giving in to bitterness or despair, she resolves to make the best of her circumstances and make a difficult journey back to Bethlehem. She showed love for her daughters-in-law when she encouraged them to go back to their families so they could remarry and secure a future. Naomi helped Ruth navigate through the customs and traditions that Ruth was new to, leading to Ruth marrying Boaz and having a child thereby preserving the lineage. Through everything that she went through Naomi never stopped believing and trusting in God’s promises.

The Lesson: We can learn from Naomi’s strength of character by being resilient in the face of adversity. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people. Seek out friends, family, or mentors who uplift you during tough times. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Instead of seeing setbacks as failures, view them as chances to learn and improve. Remember that setbacks are temporary, and with the help of the Lord, you have the capacity to adapt and overcome anything.

Perseverance

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 10:36

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

In challenging times, amid struggles, or when your life seems fruitless, be patient, stay strong, and don’t give up. Stay committed to the path set by God for you, even when faced with adversity, hurdles, or moments of despair. Don’t lose your confidence in God or in His promises; trust in His timing. Remember, you only fail if you quit. Press forward in alignment with God’s will, finish your race, and you shall attain the promised reward: eternal life.

May the Lord Be with You

Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 13:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

“May the Fourth” has evolved into a day of observance for Star Wars enthusiasts. It cleverly plays on the iconic phrase, “May the Force Be with You.” Life is not a movie, however, you do get to choose the ending. God has given you the ability to choose where you will spend eternity. I earnestly pray that you will come to know the boundless love of God, the Father. May you embrace the redeeming grace found in believing in His Son, Jesus Christ. Furthermore, I pray that you would receive the fellowship and power that comes with the gift of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord be with you always.
