Verse of the Day: Acts 16:25
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
Paul and Silas were in a pretty bad situation but they kept praying and singing to God anyway. Whatever difficult situation you may find yourself in keep praying and singing to God. Keep praising God until he gives you the victory.
To God be the glory! Today my husband and I were able to provide food and drinks to a little over 300 people in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. We praise God for his goodness and mercy. We’re so grateful to be able to be a blessing to those in need. God is good!
Verse of the Day: Matthew 25:35
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.
By showing compassion and kindness to those in need you’re sharing God’s love and mercy. Let everything you do be done as if you are doing it for the Lord. Let God work through you to fill the needs of His people. Don’t wait for someone else to do what God has called you to do.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 22:9
The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.
God is generous with us and He expects us to be generous with others as well. We serve a compassionate God and this creates a compassionate heart in us. The awesome thing is that when we give to others from our heart God blesses us even more. We can never out give God.
Verse of the Day: James 2:14
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?
Faith is a verb; it requires action on your part. Faith in God prompts you to do something, it moves you to share the love of God not only by word but also by deed with those in need. (for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13)
Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 8:5
And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.
Be so full of God’s love and joy that it spills over into the lives of those who also need Him. Give yourself fully to God and allow Him to use you for His purpose, let Him work through you to help others.
Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 2:15
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
The best way to put a stop to critics and negative people is to do good and live a virtuous and godly life. Be a good example of what it means to love the Lord and do good so that those who don’t know God will have nothing bad to say about you.
