Verse of the Day: Psalm 34:11

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

 

The best gift we can give our children is to teach them to obey and follow the Lord which leads to wisdom, prosperity and a happy life. Teaching children to fear the Lord doesn’t mean they should be afraid of Him, it means they should respect Him and put Him first in their lives. Fear of the Lord requires awe, reverence, adoration, honor, worship, faith, trust, thankfulness and love.  We teach these to our children not just by word but by example.
