Love the Lord

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 22:37

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

 

I was feeling a little discouraged, tired and disheartened so I began to search for a Bible verse to help me feel better.  The Lord gave me this verse and suddenly I felt inspired.  I remembered that it’s not about focusing on me, it’s about focusing on God.  The best thing we can do in all situations is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind and He will take care of the rest.

You Are Precious

isaiah 43 4

 

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 43:4

Because you are precious in my eyes, you are honored, and I love you.

 

Are you seeing yourself the way God sees you?  You are God’s own creation and we know that He doesn’t make mistakes.  You have worth, you are a jewel and you belong to God.  You have been adopted into His own family, you are His child and an heir to His kingdom.  God has given you gifts and talents to use for His purpose because He has a plan for you.  He loves you so much He gave His Only Son so you could have eternal life. Stop worrying about the way the world sees you and start seeing yourself the way God sees you, as His precious daughter.

Worry or Worship    

philippians 4 6

 

Verse of the Day:  Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

 

Whatever it is that worries you whether it’s spiritual, physical, for yourself or for someone else bring it to God in prayer.  Humbly come before your heavenly Father with a sincere heart and lay your burdens, your worries and your cares at His feet. Thank Him for what He’s done for you in the past, thank Him for hearing your prayer in the present and thank Him in advance for answering your prayer in the future. Come to Him with an honest heart, tell Him how you feel and what you need.  He already knows, but He wants to hear it from you.

Living by Faith

galatians 2 20

 

Verse of the Day:  Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in my body, I live by faith, indeed, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved me and gave himself for me.

 

Are you living a life focused on yourself, a life without purpose or peace?  In order to get to where God wants you to be you have to leave your old life and your old ways in the past. Surrender your life to God and focus on the future He has planned for you. Christ now lives in you and you don’t have to live by your own power or strength anymore. Start living by faith in Jesus Christ who loves you so much He died on the cross for you.

Start Sowing Now

ecclesiastes 11 4

 

Verse of the Day:  Ecclesiastes 11:4

Those who watch the wind blow will never sow, and those who observe the clouds will never reap.

 

If you’re waiting for perfect conditions like the right time, the right people, the right “whatever” to start living your God given dream you’ll never get started.    Don’t be afraid, God is with you and He will equip you with every good thing you need to do His will.  It’s okay to start small, at least you’ve started to sow and it’s okay to make mistakes, it shows you’re trying and not just watching the wind blow.  Don’t wait for “perfect conditions”, start now with what you know now and with what you have now, tomorrow may never come.

Pray for Them

ephesians 3 16-18

 

Verse of the Day:  Ephesians 3:16-18

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

 

Just like Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesus, we need to pray for our family, our friends, even our enemies and the world in general.  We need to pray that they would invite Jesus into their lives so they may experience His infinite love first hand and have a personal relationship with Him.  We also need to pray that they would come to truly know Him, His grace, glory and how much He really loves them.
