Give It to God

Psalm 62 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 62:5

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.

There may be times when all your efforts lead to disappointment, your plans don’t work out or your situation seems hopeless.  Don’t lose hope, turn to God, leave it all in His sovereign hands.  When you put your problems in God’s hands He puts peace in your heart.

More than Conquerors

Romans 8 37

Verse of the Day:  Romans 8:37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

We may have confidence in knowing that no tribulation, suffering, persecution, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.  His love is not earned so it cannot be lost, it is undeserved and limitless.  We are not just conquerors, we are more than conquerors, not just in some things but in all things through Jesus Christ!

Bearing Fruit

John 15 8.jpg

Verse of the Day:  John 15:8

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Bearing much fruit comes with spiritual maturity and is a result of being obedient to the Word of God. When you devote yourself to God and His will the fruit of the Spirit is evident in your life. And when you aren’t connected to the life giving vine, you stop bearing fruit. Stay connected to God with daily prayer, reading His Word and by surrendering your will for His will.

Faith Inspires Action

James 2 14.jpg

Verse of the Day:  James 2:14

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?

Faith is a verb; it requires action on our part. Faith in God prompts us to do something, it moves us to share the love of God not only by word but also by deed with those in need. (for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13)

Different Task, Same Goal

Acts 20 24

Verse of the Day:  Acts 20:24

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

God has given each of us different gifts to be used for His purpose.  We should be content with what we’ve been given and use these gifts to the best of our ability. We each may have a different task but the goal is the same for all of us, to finish the race and to complete the task we’ve been assigned.

Let God Work Through You

2 Corinthians 8 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 8:5

And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.

Be so full of God’s love and joy that it spills over into the lives of those who also need Him. Give yourself fully to God and allow Him to use you for His purpose, let Him work through you to help others.

Saved from Yourself

Psalm 118 14.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 118:14

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

Even if you are going down the wrong path the Lord will never forget you, He will never leave you.  Surrender to His calling. It’s not too late to turn around and it’s not too late to start over.  The Lord will save you from yourself and from your own bad decisions.  When you accept Jesus as your Savior you can leave the guilt and shame of your past behind, you are a new creation. Let Him be your strength, your song and your Savior.

Devote Yourselves to Prayer

Colossians 4 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Colossians 4:2

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

One of the ways to build your relationship with God is to spend time with Him in prayer.  Dedicate time each and every day to talk with the Lord and to listen to what He has to say to you.  Praise Him for all that He is and thank Him for his love and mercy and for the gift of salvation.

The Same Power Lives in You

romans 8 11.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Romans 8:11

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

As born again believers, you have the same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead living inside of you. The grave could not hold Jesus, He was resurrected to be seated at the right hand of God.  You have the same victory in Jesus!
