Apply God’s Word to Your Life

James 1 22

Verse of the Day: James 1:22

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

If you are just hearing the Word of God but not applying it to your life and expecting your life to change you’re fooling yourself. That would be like reading a diet book and expecting to lose weight just from reading it. You have to apply it to your life, you have to change your habits and it has to be a way of life not just a Sunday event. Doers of the Word hear it, understand it, receive it and obey it.

God Hears You

Psalm 86 7

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 86:7

When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.

In this world we will have troubles. They can be troubles we bring on ourselves by our own actions or they can be brought on from other people. Sometimes they’re from the devil who tempts us and schemes against us. It can be an illness or hardship beyond our control. They can be troubles that last for a day, for a while or for a season. The important thing to know is that when you have a relationship with God you can always call on Him and know that He hears you and answers you. God hears your every prayer and when you learn to trust in Him, He will give you peace. Even when you can’t find the right words to pray God hears your heart.

God Sees You

Genesis 16 13

Verse of the Day:  Genesis 16:13

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

God sees you. He sees everything you are going through, He knows your heart and He knows your pain. He looks at you with His eyes of love, mercy and grace. God loves you more than you could ever imagine and you need to know that you are not alone. Trust God and give Him your brokenness, your pain and everything that is weighing you down. Call upon the Lord, praise Him and allow Him to heal your heart and lead you to restoration.

Healing for Your Mind, Body and Soul

Luke 13 12

Verse of the Day:  Luke 13:12

When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”

Jesus already knows your condition and He is calling you to draw nearer because He loves you and has compassion for you. If you need healing come to Jesus. He can heal your mind, body and soul. Take the first step to receive healing and come to Jesus in faith. Whatever chains are holding you down, whatever illness, heartache or trauma, give it all to Him and let Him set you free and heal you.

Hope for Today

Romans 15 13

Verse of the Day:  Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Without hope one feel helpless, alone and powerless. As believers we know that our God is the source of all hope. Hope for healing, hope for peace, hope for joy and hope for the future here on earth and in heaven. All hope comes from knowing, believing and trusting God. By His love, grace and mercy God has given us the precious gift of hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. If you feel hopeless, seek a relationship with the author of all hope, the Lord our God.

More of Jesus, Less of Me

John 3 30

Verse of the Day:  John 3:30

He must become greater; I must become less.

More of Jesus, less of me in all things. We need Jesus in our hearts, in our lives, in our relationships, in our families, in our churches, in our work place, in our schools, in our communities, in this world – We need more of JESUS! There is nothing our soul needs more than Jesus. The world keeps forcing Jesus out of their lives and then they wonder why things aren’t going well, why things are dark – Jesus is the Light of the world. Whoever follows Jesus will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Open up your heart to Jesus, let His light shine in you for all the world to see.

Memorial Day

John 15 13

Verse of the Day:  John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

As we celebrate and enjoy our freedom this Memorial Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday as we remember those who died in active military service.  Let’s honor and pay respect to these heroes by praying for their families, our leaders and our country. No matter what is happening around us and the current condition of our country remember, we still live in one of the best nations in the world. Enjoy your freedom but don’t forget the price others have paid for it when they laid down their life and gave all.

The Right Direction

Isaiah 30 21

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

If you are at a crossroad in your life or have an important decision to make and you’re not sure which path to take listen closely to the Holy Spirit, who will guide you onto the right path.  Humbly and earnestly seek guidance through prayer, fasting and studying the Word of God. The Holy Spirit also helps you in your day to day life keeping you on the right path just like the shepherd guides his sheep. The Word of God and the Holy Spirit are always there to direct you in the way you should go.

Let God Guide You

Psalm 48 14

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 48:14

For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.

We all need directions to get us to where we want to go. Spiritually speaking, it’s the same thing. God has given us a spiritual compass, the Holy Spirit, to guide us through life every step of the way. He has given us a “map”, the Holy Bible, to show us the way we should go. God guides us in truth and with love through deep waters to peace and salvation and He will never leave us. If we are obedient and follow His instructions, He will lead us day by day to the promised land.

Be the Best You

Romans 9 20 2

Verse of the Day:  Romans 9:20

But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”

Think about all the people created by God since the beginning of time. No two people have ever had the same fingerprint because God has made each one of us as a unique, one of a kind creation. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He made each of us with a special purpose in mind and we each have been given different gifts, talents and life experiences that make us who we are. Love and accept yourself the way God made you. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to change and improve ourselves it just means we don’t need to compare ourselves to anyone else. “A flower does not think of competing with the next flower, it just blooms.” – Unknown
