Trust in the Lord

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

Building trust takes time but the more you get to know God, the more your trust in Him will grow.  When we think about a rock we think of something solid, strong, supportive and able to withstand pressure and when we call a person our rock they usually have the same attributes. God is the same way, you can always rely on Him and when you truly trust in God you will experience the perfect peace that comes from knowing that He is in control. Worrying doesn’t change a thing, instead of focusing on your problems put your efforts into getting closer to God. Let go of worry and let God have His way in your life.

Dear God, thank You for being my rock in all situations. I trust in You with all my heart and no matter what I’m going through I know that You are there for me. Lord, I give You all my worries and my fears. I turn to You for strength and peace because I know You are in control. Wrap Your loving arms around me, Lord, protect me from the storm. Amen

Pray Together

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 18:20

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

What a blessing it is to be able to pray for and with your sisters in Christ. Asking your friends to pray in unity with you to collectively make your requests known to the Father helps you to build stronger relationships with each other and with God. Jesus promises that when you call on His Name, He will be there to help and to bless you. It may be a bit more challenging these days but you can get creative and figure out a way to pray with your friends and reap the benefits of praying together.

Lord, we may not be able to be together with our friends and family physically but we are united in spirit and in prayer to praise You and make our requests known to You. You know our specific needs Lord and we ask that You’re will be done in each of our lives.  Amen

Build Each Other Up

Verse of the Day: 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

We may not be able to solve everyone’s problems but we sure can be an encouragement to everyone by spreading hope. Use the Word of God to encourage one another and to lift each other up by reminding each other of God’s everlasting love for us. Use your words to build each other up not tear each other down. Share the love of God by praying with each other and for each other. Be a friend and a blessing to those in need (we are all in need).

Lord, I thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me to be an encouragement and a blessing to them. Help me to share Your love with them. Lord, I lift them up in prayer and ask that you would touch their hearts so that they would know how good and wonderful You are. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Bad Influences

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 22:24-25

Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.

It’s clear that our friendships can have an influence on us, either for good or bad. It’s important to choose the people who are close to us wisely. Choose godly friends that will be a positive influence in your life instead of people who can’t control their anger with whom you may eventually find yourself in a bad situation.  A bad temper is contagious.

Dear Lord, grant me wisdom to choose my friends wisely. Help me to make good decisions when it comes to the people I allow to be close to me. Protect me from people who are bad influences, who stir up conflict and are easily angered. Keep me from all harm, evil and the plans of the enemy. In Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

Choosing Friends

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 12:26

The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Choosing the right kind of friends is actually a big deal because whether you realize it or not, you become like the people you spend the most time with. Surround yourself with people who encourage you and make a positive impact in your life.  Your friends should inspire and motivate you to do good and be a better person. Take a look at who you spend the most time with and ask yourself if they are the type of people God would want you to be around. Are they equally yoked? Do they have the same values? Do they make your relationship with God stronger? Choose your friends wisely and strive to be a good friend too.

Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You asking You for wisdom and discernment when it comes to choosing friends. I ask for Your help in finding people who will encourage, inspire and motivate me to be a better person. I ask that You would put people in my life that exude honesty, integrity and godliness. Lord, help me to also be a good friend, always willing to help, to be a blessing and to do all things in love. Amen

Knowing Christ

Verse of the Day: Philippians 3:10

I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death

There is a difference in knowing about someone and knowing someone and there is a difference between knowing what someone does and knowing who someone is. You may have known about Jesus all your life but until you seek Him with all of your heart you won’t really know Him as your personal Savior. You won’t have a personal relationship with Him until you start spending time with Him. The more time you spend with Him the more you will become like Him. Knowing the Bible is one thing but knowing the author is another.

Lord, thank You for Your Word that is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. It is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path guiding me in the way I should go. Lord, I love You with all of my heart and my greatest desire is to have a personal relationship with You. I open my heart, soul and mind to You and invite You to be at the center of my life. Lord, help me to know You on a deeper level and to walk more closely with You. Amen

A Wise Woman’s Home

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 14:1

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

A wise woman builds her house established on God’s Word and with God as the foundation.  She cares for her family, she encourages them and she leads by example by being an honorable and virtuous woman of God.

Lord, thank You for the privilege of being a wife and a mother. I am so grateful that You are at the center of our lives and that Your Word is the foundation upon which we build our home. Help me to be an honorable and virtuous woman and an example to our children. Help me to encourage and love my family in a way that honors You. Grant me wisdom to help make good decisions for our family as we continue to grow and be rooted in You. I ask in Jesus Name that you would continue to bless our family and our home. Amen

Sing Praises

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 30:4

Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.

Have you ever noticed that no matter what is going on in your life singing praises to the Lord always makes you feel better?  It doesn’t matter where you are, at home, church or even in the car, singing praises to the Lord makes God’s presence even more known and brings overwhelming peace and joy. The Lord has been so gracious and merciful to us, give thanks and praise His holy name. Make singing praises to God part of your day and you will definitely start to see a change in your mindset and attitude.

Thank you Lord for Your grace and mercy, I praise Your holy name! Thank you Lord for Your presence in my life and the overwhelming peace and joy I feel when I praise You, my God. As long as I have breath, I will praise You, Lord! I will be glad and rejoice in You, Lord! Amen

Keep On Keeping On

Verse of the Day:  James 1:12

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

There will be trials, there will be tough times, but God is with you and if you don’t give up you will be blessed. Be patient in afflictions, keep believing and keep praying. It’s no surprise that we will face adversity. Jesus said we will have troubles but to take heart because He has overcome the world. So when these troubles come stand firm in your faith and trust in the Lord. Stay strong, you are not alone, and it will all be worth it in the end. For when that day comes, you will receive the crown of life, which is a gift from God.

Lord, You know everything from the beginning to the end. You know the trials and the afflictions I’ve had to face. You know the troubles and the hardships that I encounter daily. Help me, Lord, to stand firm in my faith in You and in Your promises. Give me strength to face whatever challenges come my way. Grant me peace as I put my trust in You to see me through. Help me to remain faithful even when I feel like giving up. I know that I am not alone for You are always with me. Amen

Loaded with Blessings

Verse of the Day: Psalm 68:19

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Wake up with praise on our lips, focused on God. Start your day right with prayer and receive the spiritual blessings the Lord has in store for you today. Each new day is loaded with blessings of love, joy, peace, mercy, grace, redemption, forgiveness and salvation! Praise the Lord for each day He takes care of our needs and bears our burdens. Glorify your Lord and Savior!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! God, I don’t want to ask You for anything, I just want to thank you for all Your blessings! Thank You for another day of life. Thank you for Your blessings of love, joy, peace, mercy, grace redemption, forgiveness and salvation. God, I am so grateful and I can never thank You enough for everything You do for me. Blessed be Your name, Lord. Amen
