Verse of the Day: Proverbs 3:3
Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. (NASB)
Love is kind and your kindness shows compassion to the people you love. Often in relationships we slip into a comfortable state where we take each other for granted, not intentionally, but it happens and we no longer go out of our way to be kind. The Word of God tell us over and over again that we should be kind to one another even to strangers so how much more should we intentionally be kind to our loved ones? When we have a relationship with God we come to understand what He has done for us because He loves us so much. His love changes us, it makes us kinder, compassionate, caring and forgiving. Because God has been so kind to us let’s choose to intentionally go out of our way to show kindness to the people we love.
Lord, I thank You for Your love and kindness. You have been so good to me and I see Your amazing grace and mercy over every part of my life. Lord, I confess that I am not always as kind as I should be. Forgive me Lord and help me to do better. Help me to be compassionate and caring to my loved ones and everyone I meet. Lord, help me to keep Your Word close to my heart so I can live for You with intention and purpose. Amen
