Your Words Matter

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 12:36

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.

Your words matter, they have the power to hurt or help. Sometimes we say things we don’t mean and sometimes we say things without thinking of the consequences of what we’ve said. Once words come out of your mouth they cannot be taken back or unheard. We need to be careful with our words because we will have to give an account for them someday. Use your words to encourage one another, use them for good not evil, let them be a testament to your Christian character.

Heavenly Father, You are so patient and kind and I truly want to be more like You. Forgive me for things I’ve done and the things I’ve said that bring shame and dishonor. Help me Lord, to choose my words more carefully and to use my words to encourage and inspire those who hear them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
