Verse of the Day: Matthew 24:35      

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.           

We live in an ever changing world and change is inevitable for better or worse. There is a saying some people think comes from the Bible but it doesn’t: “This too shall pass”. It’s an adage reflecting the temporary nature, or ephemerality, of the human condition. (Wikipedia) I’m sure it has helped some people get through tough times, but there is something even better, something you can always count on, the never changing Word of God. It was true yesterday, it’s true today and it will be true forever. You can depend and rely on it. You can live your life by it, even to the end of the world because it is never ever going to change.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your never changing Word. It was true yesterday, it’s true today and it will be true forever. I know I can depend on Your Word to see me though even the hardest times. I can rely on Your promises and I can turn to Your Word to guide me in the way I should live my life. Lord, open my eyes, my mind and my heart to Your instructions and truth so that I may serve you better. Amen
