Verse of the Day: James 1:22           

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

If you are just hearing the Word of God but not applying it to your life and expecting your life to change you’re fooling yourself. That would be like reading a diet book and expecting to lose weight just from reading it. You have to apply it to your life, you have to change your habits and it has to be a way of life not just a Sunday event. Doers of the Word hear it, understand it, receive it and obey it.

Lord, thank You for Your Word that is as relevant today as it was in the beginning. Help me to not only hear Your Word but to understand it, receive it, apply it and be obedient to it. Let Your Holy Spirit guide me so that I may live my life according to Your ways and life a life that is pleasing to You. Amen
