Verse of the Day:  Hosea 6:6

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.   

God is more pleased with us showing mercy, love and compassion towards all people rather than formalities. More than sacrifices God wants you to know Him on a personal level. He wants you to trust in Him, submit to His will and be obedient to His laws. God wants you to worship Him in spirit and in truth rather than go through the motion of ceremonies when your heart is not right with Him. Rituals and sacrifices have their place in organized religion, but God wants your heart to be truly in it for the right reasons otherwise, they are meaningless.

Dear God, I am so truly grateful for Your love and mercy. Father, to know You and love You more is my sincere desire. I want to live a life that is pleasing to You in every way and I’m going to praise and worship You with all of my heart. Amen
