Verse of the Day:  Psalm 51:10         

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Even David, a man after God’s heart sinned against God, but he recognized that he needed a profound change of heart and spirit and he knew he could not make this change on his own. For out of the heart come evil thoughts–murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. (Matthew 15:19) No matter how much you try to change on your own, at best, the changes will only be temporary. Only God’s love and mercy can transform a sinful, stubborn heart of stone and only God can truly renew your spirit. If you are ready for a change of heart and spirit, ask the One who created it to change it.

Heavenly Father, You know every single time my heart has been hurt by this world. Heal my soul with your unfailing love and renew my spirit so that I may follow You all the days of my life. Amen
