Train children in the way they should go; when they grow old, they won’t depart from it. 

Christmas is one of the most wonderful and exciting times of the year and a great opportunity to teach young children about Jesus and the real reason for the season. You can tell them why we celebrate Christmas, how and why Jesus was born and the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. You can read stories from the Bible or children’s books appropriate for their level of understanding, you can sing Christmas carols and talk about their origins, use a nativity scene and other decorations, like a star to explain what they represent. There are many ideas on the internet that will help you keep Christ in Christmas for little ones. Before the world starts putting its idea of what Christmas is, let’s teach our children all about a Christ centered Christmas.

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to save the world. Help us to teach our children the true meaning and the real reason we celebrate His birth. Help us to keep Christ in Christmas and to stay focused on You. Amen
