Christ Strengthens You

Verse of the Day:   Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Fruit of the Spirit: Believers can find strength and endurance to face challenges and obstacles in life through their Faith in Christ. With Jesus on our side we can bear any trial or adversity and we can be content in in all situations. By Faith Jesus lives in us and that means we have His strength in us to do all things!

Hang in There

Verse of the Day:  Romans 8:18

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Fruit of the Spirit: It’s not always easy being a Christian in the current condition and culture of this world. Sin is running rampant and people are trying to take God out of everything. But we, who believe, need to stand firm and hold on to the Word of God. Be Patient and Faithful and hang in there. Jesus is coming soon so keep your eyes on God’s promises of salvation and eternal life.

God Hears Your Prayers

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 29:12

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Fruit of the Spirit: Be assured and remain Faithful because God hears your prayers. No matter how big or how small, He hears them all. He receives your requests and petitions and answers them all in His own timing and in His own way. Remain faithful, steadfast, and committed in your prayer life, knowing that God is Faithful to His word and listens to every prayer.

Faith over Fear

Verse of the Day:   Psalm 56:3

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Fruit of the Spirit: The enemy will use fear to keep you from the plans God has for your life. He knows if he keeps putting doubts and fear in your mind you will never step out in Faith to accomplish what God has planned for you. Faith is a deep trust and confidence in God, His promises, and His guidance. When we are Faithful we find strength and courage in God’s presence even in the middle of fearful situations.

Look to the Lord for Strength

Verse of the Day:  1 Chronicles 16:11

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Fruit of the Spirit: Don’t give up, don’t stop seeking the Lord. Don’t let anything keep you from seeking His face. The Fruit of the Spirit including Self-control will help you to be consistent in seeking the Lord’s strength and His presence in your life. Look to the Lord for strength to overcome anything.

Spiritual Battles

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 10:4

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical, but they are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.

The Fruit of the Spirit: We each fight spiritual battles every day. Discouragement, anger, and stress are just some of the enemy’s tactics as he tries to bring us down. We need to arm ourselves with the Word of God as described in Ephesians 6:11-13. Love, Faithfulness and Self-control will also help us to be victorious in these battles. Remember that God is on your side and you are more than a conqueror through Christ.

Smile, Jesus Loves You!

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 15:13

A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day.

The Fruit of the Spirit: Though there may be things going on in your life and all around you, do not let it steal your Joy. Count your blessings and not your troubles. Jesus Loves you and will never leave you, that’s more than enough reason to smile.

Be Generous Today

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 3:28

Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go and come back; I’ll give it to you tomorrow,” when you have it.

Fruit of the Spirit: Now is always the best time to help someone in need, tomorrow may be too late. If God puts it in your heart to help someone don’t wait, just do it. God has been generous to us and has supplied all of our needs and therefore, we should be generous to others. Being Kind means that you are generous, compassionate, and a willing to help others.

Be Kind to Everyone

Verse of the Day:  Luke 6:35

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.  Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Fruit of the Spirit: Our heavenly Father has shown us great Love and mercy and expects us to be Kind even to those who may not be friendly or appreciative, not because they deserve it, but because we are striving to live a life that pleases God.

The Golden Rule

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 7:12

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Fruit of the Spirit: The concept of the “Golden Rule” is a general truth that is found not only in the Holy Bible but appears in many other religions. It’s so basic and fundamental that we teach it to our children. Treat people the way you want them to treat you. Act with Love, Patience, Kindness, Goodness and Gentleness. At times we may fall short, but thank God the Holy Spirit convicts us and moves us to repentance. Do your best to Love each other as Christ has Loved you.
