Verse of the Day: Mark 9:24
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Every believer at one time or another has doubts about their purpose in life. As long as you still have some faith God will work with what you have. It’s not about your power or your strength, it’s about having faith in the power of Christ. When you feel doubt and fear creeping in ask God to help you overcome your unbelief and increase your faith.
Verse of the Day: Romans 12:6-8
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
God has given you gifts specific to the purpose He has planned for you. As part of the body of Christ, it’s your responsibility to discover how to use those gifts to bless the world around you. Whatever your gift is, your goal should be to use it to the best of your ability for God’s purpose so that He may be glorified.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 20:24
A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?
God is at work in your life and is directing your steps for His purpose. You may be going through a hard time, but if you are faithful and obedient even when you don’t understand where He’s leading you, eventually, you will see the fruits of your labor.
Verse of the Day: Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Jesus Christ to do the good works, which God prepared in advanced for us to do.
God put a desire in your heart for a purpose that He planned long ago. Step out in faith and ask God for guidance and direction to fulfill your God given dreams. Don’t let doubt or the devil keep you from being all you can be for the Lord.
Verse of the Day: Romans 6:13
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
If you have been born again, you have a new identity in Christ and you are no longer a slave to sin. Because you have been set free you can now offer yourself to God, both body and soul, as an instrument of faith, joy, hope, peace and love to be used for His purpose.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 77:12
I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.
Make time to meditate and reflect on all that the Lord has done for you. This is especially helpful when your current circumstances are challenging. Remembering the ways God has been merciful to you in the past will give you comfort and peace as he brings you through your present situation.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 100:2
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
God is good and giving Him grateful praise through songs is a beautiful way to worship Him during your prayer time. When you come before the Lord singing joyful songs not only does it please God but it also refreshes your soul. It doesn’t matter how well you sing; what matters is that it comes from your heart.
