Rely on God’s Love

1 John 4 16.jpg

Verse of the Day:  1 John 4:16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.  God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

If your first thought of the day is “God loves me” it will change the way you react to things that happen throughout your day.  No matter what happens tell yourself, “It’s going to be okay, God loves me”.  You can rely on God’s love for you and His strength will get you through the most difficult days if only you would trust in His love for you.

God Hears You

1 John 5 14

Verse of the Day: 1 John 5:14

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Pray with the full confidence that God hears you, He is faithful and He is a loving God.  God hears all your prayers and He answers each one with a yes, no or wait. The key words here are “according to His will”.  You must always pray “according to His will” and ask that His will be done, not yours, for He alone knows His plans for you. No matter what the answer is, know that He has heard your prayer.

Greater Is He That Is In You

1 john 4 4 kjv

Verse of the Day:  1 John 4:4

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

We have been chosen and adopted by God as His own children.  His unshakeable power lives in us and His Word is written on our hearts as we experience His truth. Because God lives in us we are overcomers and by faith we have the victory over evil.

Love Requires Action

1 John 3 18

Verse of the Day: 1 John 3:18

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

When it comes to our fellow man let’s not just talk about loving them, let’s show them the love of God with our actions.   Let’s act on each other’s behalf by supplying their needs and unloading their burdens.  Let’s find ways to be a blessing and help one another.

Confess Your Sin

1 john 1 9

Verse of the Day:  1 John 1:9

If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Unconfessed sin can be a stumbling block that keeps us from getting closer to God.  The Bible says, The Lord is far from the wicked but He hears the prayers of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29)   When you pray, confess your sins to God and because He is merciful, He will forgive you. Don’t let your unconfessed sin destroy your fellowship with God.

Share the Love

1 John 4 11.jpg

Verse of the Day:  1 John 4:11

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

God’s love flows to us and it also needs to flow through us.  When we receive God’s love it changes us so much that we should feel the need to share it by loving one another.  When we share God’s love with others the recipient is open to receive love not only from us but directly from God.  God’s love is meant to be shared.

Rely on God’s Love
