Faith in Action: Take time to pray for your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Pray for your pastor and your church. Pray for our leaders and people in authority and while you’re at it, pray for your enemies as well.

Take time to pray for your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Pray for your pastor and your church. Pray for our leaders and people in authority and while you’re at it, pray for your enemies as well. Pray that God would protect them and keep them from any evil the enemy has planned. Pray for God to bless and provide for them knowing that all good things come from our Heavenly Father. Humbly come before the Lord with your specific prayers asking God for His will to be done as you intercede for others. Whether your prayers our general or specific, thank God for hearing your prayer and thank Him for His love and mercy for all people. We don’t always know what people are going through but we can be sure that they can always use our prayers and we can be confident that no prayer is ever wasted.

Intercession is prayer said on behalf of and for other people. Not only are we able to come before God for ourselves but we’re able to pray for God’s blessings upon our family and friends. God wants all people to be saved so we should be praying for everyone we know and even those we don’t know. I can only imagine how many people have been saved and have come to know God because someone was praying for them. When we pray for others God’s love works through us.
