Verse of the Day: Hebrews 10:36
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
When times are tough, when you are struggling or when things in your life seem fruitless, be patient, stay strong and don’t give up. Keep on the path God has set you on in spite of difficulty, obstacles or discouragement. Don’t lose your confidence in God or in His promises, wait patiently on the Lord because He is always on time. Don’t give up, you only fail if you quit. Continue in the will of God, finish your race strong and you will receive what He has promised, eternal life.
Verse of the Day: James 1:19
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
‘Tis the season to be jolly. Even though it’s the most wonderful time of the year people are busy, stressed out, in a hurry and not always as polite as they can be. As Christians don’t forget what the season is really about and let’s try to set an example of how to treat others. As we are gift shopping, dealing with crowds, long lines, parking and all the other seemingly stressful activities let’s be patient, kind and slow to anger. Christmas is meant to be joyful and it doesn’t cost anything to be kind.
Verse of the Day: James 3:17
Wisdom that comes from heaven is pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Spiritual wisdom comes from God and it gives you the desire to live a life that is obedient and respectful to God and His holiness no matter what trials you face. It helps us to see the best in people, to be patient and to forgive others and it also help us to step back in the interest of peace when appropriate. It allows us to be open to receiving good advice and godly counsel. It compels us to be merciful and compassionate toward all people leading us to do the good works God has already planned for us with a sincere and impartial heart. How do we get this spiritual wisdom? God reveals it through the Holy Spirit and through His Word to every believer in Christ who asks in faith.
