Verse of the Day: Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
We’re not always good at waiting, it’s just our nature. We get impatient, frustrated and start to doubt God’s will in our lives. Instead we need to be confident in God’s love for us. We need to wait on the Lord’s timing, hope in His mercy and believe in His promises!
Verse of the Day: Psalm 34:15
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.
Who are the righteous? Righteousness is more than the things we do; it’s what Jesus did for us on Calvary. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. (Romans 3:22 NLT) Because we have been made right with God we can rest assured that when we are in distress we can cry out to Him and be comforted in knowing that He hears us.
Verse of the Day: Mark 9:24
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Every believer at one time or another has doubts about their purpose in life. As long as you still have some faith God will work with what you have. It’s not about your power or your strength, it’s about having faith in the power of Christ. When you feel doubt and fear creeping in ask God to help you overcome your unbelief and increase your faith.
Verse of the Day: Matthew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
If you don’t know how to pray or what to pray for, start by praying for God’s will to be done in your life. Praying for God’s will to be done is an act of faith because we know and believe God’s will is perfect and we trust in the plans He has for us. Don’t be intimidated by long, loud or eloquent prayers. Prayer doesn’t have to be full of big, fancy words it just has to be from your heart. Have a sincere conversation with God and pray knowing and believing that He hears you.
Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
As a nation, we are grateful for the freedom we have in this country and for many it’s a tradition to celebrate that freedom. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have been set free from sin and when God is present in our lives we are free to believe, trust and love the Lord with all our heart so we can enjoy this life He has given us. Celebrate the true freedom that comes from knowing and having a relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ!
Verse of the Day: Psalm 33:4
For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
Every word, every promise, everything He does is right and true. We can have confidence and believe it all, because He is faithful. God is good and never changes, we can rely on this truth. He is deserving of all praise for His truth, faithfulness, mercy and so much more.
Verse of the Day: 1 Kings 18:43-44
“Go and look toward the sea”, he told his servant. And he went up and looked. There is nothing there,” he said. The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”
Keep having faith in God, keep believing, keep hoping, keep praising Him, and keep waiting for His favor no matter how long it takes for your prayer to be answered, don’t give up. Praise God while you wait on Him even if it takes seven times or seven hundred times.
