Experience God for Yourself

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 34:8

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

I am personally inviting you to experience the infinite goodness of the Lord. He is perfect in every way, the author of all good things, everything about Him is good and He loves you. Turn to Him, put your hope in Him and put your trust in Him alone. He is the only one that can fill your heart with peace. You will never know what it’s like to have a relationship with the Lord until you make an effort by faith to really seek and experience Him for yourself. A good place to start is by praying and reading the Word of God daily.

Lord, You are perfect in every way and everything about You is good. I want to seek You, I want to find You and I want to really know You. Lord, I trust in You with all of my heart and I want to experience Your love and goodness for myself. Amen

Give the Impossible to God

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 84:12

Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

As women of God, we do our best to take care of our families to the best of our ability and we do as much as humanly possible. There are some things that are out of our control and for us, they are impossible. Those are the things we need to give to God. Through prayer, supplication and faith put your trust in the Lord Almighty who deals in making the impossible, possible. Do the possible and trust God for the impossible.

Dear God, thank You for hearing my prayers. I know that in all things You are in control. Give me strength to do what is possible, and in faith, I put my trust in You to do the impossible. Amen

Happy Mother’s Day

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 31:28

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

If you are blessed to have your mother in your life, honor her as the Lord commands. Pray for her and ask God to bless and protect her always. Be devoted and respectful, affectionate and loving for she won’t always be here. If there are grievances between you, ask God to help you forgive each other. If you are blessed to be a mother, pray that you would be a good example for your children and that they would honor you in the same way you have honored your own mother.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to pray for all mothers. We ask that You would bless them in a special way. May they know how truly amazing they are, may they feel loved and appreciated for all they do, and may their lives be filled with joy and happiness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Love Yourself

Verse of the Day:  Mark 12:31

The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.

We all know we are supposed to love our neighbors but often we forget the “as yourself” part of this verse. We put everyone else’s needs first but the truth is we can’t love anyone else if we don’t take care of our own health, mind, body and spirit. Many of us struggle with loving and taking care of ourselves. We even feel guilty for doing so, but loving yourself means we give ourselves a reasonable amount of self-care and self-respect. You are a child of God and it’s okay to love yourself with humility and godliness. Make self-care a priority this year, enjoy some “me” time without feeling guilty and remember, you can’t pour out blessings from an empty cup.

Gifts from Above

Verse of the Day:  James 1:17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Every good thing we have in our lives and all our blessing are gifts from our heavenly Father. The devil tries to remind us of the hard times we’ve gone through, the illnesses, the losses and every trial we’ve ever faced just so we’ll forget about all the good things God has done for us. But do not be deceived for God is good all the time. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the source of every good thing! Instead of counting your troubles, make a list of all the good things in your life and make time to thank your heavenly Father for all your blessings!

Good Gifts from Your Heavenly Father

Matthew 7:11

Verse of the Day:   Matthew 7:11

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. (NLT)

Doesn’t it make you feel happy when you give your children the gifts they’ve asked for? Just think about how much more your heavenly Father wants to give you good gifts from the riches of His glory. God loves you and it makes Him happy to bless you with the desires of your heart when you delight yourself in Him. God already knows what you want, what you need and what is fit for you before you ask, but He still wants you to come to Him in faith and ask. God hears your prayers and if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer according to His will.

More Blessed to Give than to Receive

Acts 20:35

Verse of the Day:  Acts 20:35

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

God has given us more than we could ever deserve and we should follow His example of giving. Many people of the world are often thinking about what they will get in return and only give when there is something in it for themselves. But children of God who strive to be Christlike give without expecting to receive anything in return for they know their reward is in heaven because when you give in a right spirit it truly is an act of worship and pleases the Lord. When we give to the weak and those in need, we are spreading God’s love and hope into the hearts of those who receive the gift. Let’s not forget that God gives to us so that we may be generous to others. This Christmas let’s focus on giving rather than receiving.

A Cheerful Giver

2 Corinthians 9:7

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Spread the love of Christ with the less fortunate this Christmas. God loves a cheerful giver and when He puts in your heart to give, do so cheerfully. There are a couple of weeks left until Christmas so you still have time to make a donation to a worthy cause that helps people in need. Unless you’ve been there yourself, you don’t realize what a difference a little help does make. The simple things we take for granted someone else is praying for. Follow your heart and let God work through you, for the Lord has blessed you so you may bless others. Whether it’s big or small make a donation to your favorite charity and make a difference in the lives of others.

I pray that you are encouraged and inspired daily. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. Ephesians 5:20

Verse of the Day:   Ephesians 5:20

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am truly thankful for everything God has done for me and the plans He has for my future. I am thankful for everything He has blessed me with, it’s more than I could ever deserve. I’m thankful because I know my God hears me, sees me, loves me and is always there for me. I’m thankful for my salvation and for the relationship I have with my Savior.
