My Rock

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; in whom I will trust.

When we have a personal relationship with God we learn to trust Him in all situations. We can turn to God to shelter us from the storms of life, to build our hopes on and to deliver us from all our troubles. We know that no matter what is going on around us we can count on Him to be there for us. We can rely on Him to give us peace and help us get through anything because He loves us and He always keeps His promises. People may fail you but God never will.

Lord, You are my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. Thank you for being my shelter from the storm. I know that no matter what is going on in my life I can count on you to see me through it. Thank you for the peace I have in you.  Amen

God’s Word Heals Your Soul

Psalm 107 20

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 107:20

He sent out His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.

Healing power comes from God. When Jesus walked the Earth He spoke and people were physically healed. God has the power to heal our temporary physical bodies but more importantly, His Word has the power to heal our eternal souls. God’s Word will heal whatever is hurting and destroying your soul, but first, you must receive it. You have to let it penetrate your heart, meditate on it, hear it, read it, study it, memorize it and it will begin to fix whatever is broken in you. We may never understand why God answers some prayers for physical healing and why others are never healed. Ultimately, our hope shouldn’t be placed in the healing of our temporary bodies that are only here for a minute, but in the hope of an eternity with our heavenly Father.

My Restorer

Psalm 30 11

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 30:11

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.

For whatever reason, be it sin, mourning, sickness or some other kind trouble, if you are in a season of darkness you need to turn to God. He is the restorer of light and goodness. He will restore you and turn your sorrow into joy, your brokenness into beauty, your wailing into dancing. Seek the Lord by prayer and supplication having faith that God is able to change your circumstances and in His time, He will deliver you from your troubles. Until He does, keep praising Him because when the time does come, He can change things in the blink of an eye restoring your spirit, your mind and your heart.

Receive Your Blessing

Psalm 81 10 2

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 81:10

I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Long ago He brought the Hebrews out of Egypt and out of bondage and He has done the same thing for you. He has brought you out of your bondage of sin. Now open your mouth wide with praise and thanksgiving for your deliverer. Pray with boldness and confidence in your God asking Him for what you need and He will bless you according to your faith. If you want to receive your blessing you have to trust and believe that the Lord is able to fill your cup, and not just fill your cup but overflow it. Open wide and receive your blessing!

My Deliverer

Psalm 34 19

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 34:19

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Life can be hard and at times may even seem unfair.  You will go through tough times but don’t give up hope.  Keep your mind on the things above.  Keep praying.  Cry out to God and be comforted in knowing that He hears you. Keep your focus on God and He will get you through the troubles that come your way and in due time you will be delivered from them all.

Take Refuge

1 Psalms 57 1

Psalms 57:1

Verse of the Day:   Psalms 57:1

Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge.  I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

There are times when God delivers us from the storms in our lives.  There are also times when he wants us to go through the storm so when it’s over we come out of it stronger than before.   God will get us through it and he is always protecting us with his love and mercy.
