Use Your Gifts

Romans 12 6-8

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:6-8

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

By the grace of God, He has given you gifts specific to the purpose He has planned for you and the church. Not everyone has the same gift, each one of us is unique but together we make the body of Christ complete. There are different types of gifts but it is the same God that works in all of you. As part of the body of Christ, it’s your responsibility to discover how to use those gifts for the good of the church and humanity. Whatever your gift is, your goal should be to use it to the best of your ability for God’s purpose so that He may be glorified.

Be the Best You

Romans 9 20 2

Verse of the Day:  Romans 9:20

But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”

Think about all the people created by God since the beginning of time. No two people have ever had the same fingerprint because God has made each one of us as a unique, one of a kind creation. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He made each of us with a special purpose in mind and we each have been given different gifts, talents and life experiences that make us who we are. Love and accept yourself the way God made you. That doesn’t mean we don’t want to change and improve ourselves it just means we don’t need to compare ourselves to anyone else. “A flower does not think of competing with the next flower, it just blooms.” – Unknown

Same Goal

Acts 20 24

Verse of the Day:  Acts 20:24

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

God has given each of us different gifts to be used for His purpose. We should be pleased with what we’ve been given and use these gifts to the best of our ability. No matter what happens in the world around us we cannot let it shake our faith, become fearful or allow it to change our purpose. We are to remain faithful to the very end in testifying to the grace, love, and mercy of God and the salvation He offers to all people. We each may have a different gift and a different task but the goal is the same for all of us, to use our gifts, to finish the race and to complete the task we’ve been assigned by God.

Different Task, Same Goal

God has given each of us different gifts to be used for His purpose.  We should be content with what we’ve been given and use these gifts to the best of our ability.
