Strong & Courageous

Joshua 1 9

Verse of the Day:  Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

When God calls you to do something, He gives you the strength and courage to do it. You don’t have to worry if you’re smart enough, gifted enough or skilled enough. All that matters is that God is with you. The Lord has commanded you to be strong and courageous. When you are afraid or discouraged, turn to God. It doesn’t matter what it is, you don’t have to do it alone, He will be with you every step of the way. Trust in God and in His power. He will give you the strength and courage to get through anything He calls you to do.

Straighten Your Crown

Hebrews 4 16

Verse of the Day:  Hebrews 4:16

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

We all have days when we wake up feeling like we just can’t face another day. Don’t let that overwhelming feeling discourage you. Take a deep breath, remind yourself that you are a daughter of the King and straighten your crown. Come boldly to the throne of God to lay your burdens at His feet and receive His mercy and grace for today. God is with you, God is for you and God loves you.

Love the Lord Your God

Matthew 22 37

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 22:37

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

I was feeling a little discouraged, tired and disheartened so I began to search for a Bible verse to help me feel better. The Lord gave me this verse and instantly I felt inspired. I remembered that it’s not about focusing on me, it’s about focusing on God. The best thing we can do in all situations is to love the Lord with all our hearts, soul and mind and He will take care of the rest.

My Comforter

Isaiah 49 13

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 49:13

Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

The world attempts to keep you content but the only place to find real comfort and compassion is in the Lord. Shout for joy and rejoice because God loves and cares for His people. He doesn’t want you to suffer or be discouraged. Pour out your heart in prayer, for the Lord will never forsake you. He will have compassion on you and His unfailing love will comfort you and give you peace.

You Can Face Tomorrow

2 Chronicles 20 17

Verse of the Day:  2 Chronicles 20:17

You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.

God knows the battles you face each day.  If you want deliverance you need to give all your troubles to the Lord and let Him fight for you. You don’t have to be afraid and you don’t have to be discouraged, instead stand firm in your faith.  You are not alone and you can face tomorrow because the Lord is with you.

Be Strong & Don’t Give Up

2 Chronicles 15 7

Verse of the Day:  2 Chronicles 15:7

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

We all have times when we feel discouraged and we feel like giving up and quitting.  If the Lord has put a “work” in your heart He will make a way for you to do it.  That doesn’t mean it won’t be hard, because it might be, but that’s okay because God is on your side. What you do for God, and for his honor and service, will not be overlooked. Be strong and don’t give up!
