Psalm 72 13.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 72:13

He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy he will save.

The Lord has compassion on the weak and needy. We must also have a heart of compassion for those in need. If there’s a specific issue that touches your heart, take the next step and make a donation or volunteer your time to an organization that addresses those needs.

A Cheerful Giver

1 12-6 1 2 Corinthians 9 7

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Spread the love of Christ with your fellow man this Christmas. There are a couple of weeks left until Christmas so you still have time to make a donation to a worthy cause that helps the needy. Follow your heart and remember that the Lord has blessed you so you can bless others. Whether it’s big or small make a donation to your favorite charity, every bit helps and makes a difference in the lives of others.

Stand Up

1 9-27 1.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 31:8

Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Protect the rights of all who are helpless. (GNT)

Speak up for the people who have no voice.  Stand up for the oppressed.  It is our duty to help those who cannot help themselves.  We need to go out into the world and donate our time, money and resources for the poor, needy and suffering.  We need to bring Jesus into the lives of others so they too may know the mercy, forgiveness, and love of God.

Let Your Light Shine

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 5:16

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Let your light shine, do good deeds so that others will glorify God.   There are many people in need of help right now, especially those affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Volunteering your time will help these people experience the love and goodness of God. and are excellent resources to connect you to volunteer opportunities in your own community.  If you aren’t able to volunteer your time you can still help by making a monetary donation, donating goods, and/or giving blood.
