Overcome Your Unbelief

Verse of the Day: Mark 9:24

Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Every believer at one time or another has doubts, fear or times when their faith is weak. The enemy will try to destroy your faith by planting seeds of doubt in your mind. But, as long as you still have some faith, even as small as a mustard seed, God will work with what you have. If you still believe, God can change your heart, heal your body or move mountains for you. It’s not about your power or your strength, it’s about having faith in the power of Jesus Christ and believing that His grace is sufficient. When you feel doubt and fear creeping in ask God to strengthen your faith so that you can overcome your unbelief.

Lord, I admit that there are times when I feel doubt and fear but God, I know deep in my heart that with You all things are possible. Strengthen my faith so that I can overcome any unbelief. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

God Is with You

Verse of the Day:   Isaiah 41:10

Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God is telling you not to be afraid because He is with you. What better reassurance can you get? God Himself is saying that you shouldn’t be frightened because He is your God and He’s going to be with you to strengthen, help and defend you not because you are righteous but because He is righteous. Don’t let fear keep you from what God has planned for you instead, start relying on God’s promises to support, comfort and strengthen you and start being fearless.

Dream Big!

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 9:29

Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”

If you want God to do something big in your life this year you need to have big faith and big expectations. You have to pray with expectation and you have to expect to succeed. You aren’t putting faith in your own abilities but in the power of Jesus Christ. That doesn’t mean you will get everything you want but if you let fear keep you from trying in the first place you will definitely fail. Trust in God’s perfect will for you, work hard, step out in faith and let God be in control.

Let Go, Let God

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God

Often, we are tempted to try and work everything out for ourselves but what we really need to do is to just let go and give it all to God. When you are struggling to make things work out the way you want them to just stop, be still, wait patiently without fear, abide in His Word and let God’s will be done. Acknowledge that He is God and He is in control. He knows you, He knows your troubles and He will make all things work for the good of those who love Him. (Romans 8:28) Surrender your need to control the situation and let God be in charge of your life, His ways are always better and He is always faithful to His Word and His promises.

Overcome Your Unbelief

Stop Worrying, Start Worshipping

matthew 6 27

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 6:27

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Worrying doesn’t change a thing and it sure doesn’t add any benefit to your life. I know that we are living in trying times but that doesn’t mean we have to worry about every little thing. That also doesn’t mean we should live recklessly. We need to take precautions, be safe and do what we feel is right for ourselves and our unique circumstances. The Bible says fear, anxiety and worry are not from God. Instead, we must we must have faith in God’s promises and He will give us peace and strength to get through anything. Turn your worrying into worshipping and let God turn your battles into blessings.

Joyful – Patient – Faithful

Romans 12 12

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:12

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

The Christian life is not always easy. Jesus said we will have troubles but we can have peace because He overcame the world (John 16:33). We can be joyful in the hope we have in Jesus Christ because we have salvation and the hope of being with the Lord forever in heaven. We can be patient during troubled times because we know our faith is being made stronger while we rely fully on God for healing, comfort, provisions and peace. Be faithful in your prayer life regardless of what is happening in the world and especially in times of tribulation. Don’t be discouraged by what is happening around you instead take every concern, every fear and every doubt straight to the throne of God.

Sharing God’s Word

Exodus 4 12

Verse of the Day:  Exodus 4:12

Now go, I will help you speak and teach you what to say.

If God has given you the desire to share his Word with others don’t let fear stop you. Moses had difficulties expressing himself but the Lord was able to use him in a mighty way. God will also help you speak and teach you what to say through the Holy Spirit. Let God work through you as He gives you courage to share His Word and your testimony with others. Step out in faith and you will be fruitful.
