Finding the Good

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 11:27

Whoever seeks good finds favor, but evil comes to one who searches for it.

Putting God first in everything you do and seeking the kingdom of God leads to a life of favor. Pursuing what is good and doing good for others will put you in a position of favor from both God and people. When you look for trouble, trouble will find you. When you try to hurt others, it will surely come back to you. If you’re always looking for the negative that’s exactly what you’ll find. Instead, live a positive and optimistic life by trying to find the good in all people and making the best of things in all situations.

Heads or Tails?

Deuteronomy 28 13

Verse of the Day:  Deuteronomy 28:13

The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

God wants to bless you. He wants you to be successful and fruitful. Deuteronomy 28:13 says that “IF” you choose to be obedient to His Word, He will bless you and you will always be at the top and never at the bottom. God will never force you to do anything and He always leaves the choice up to you. Do you want to be the head or the tail, at the top or at the bottom? The decision is yours, you have a choice. Choose obedience to God’s commands and find favor instead of choosing disobedience and condemnation.

How are you living your life?  Are you a “glass half full” or a “glass half empty” type of person? Are you trying to find the good in others or are you constantly looking for the negative in people and situations?  No one is perfect, try to see their good qualities instead of their shortcomings. Be optimistic with a positive outlook and try to find the good in all people and situations and you will find favor with people, but more importantly, with God.
