Walk by the Spirit

Verse of the Day:  Galatians 5:16

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Faith in Action: When you face temptation, instead of trusting your own willpower, trust in God’s power, His Word, and the Holy Spirit to guide you in the way you should go.

Walk by the Spirit

Verse of the Day:  Galatians 5:16

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

It doesn’t matter what kind of temptation comes knocking at your door you can only get so far with your own willpower. You may be able to fight the desires of the flesh by yourself for a little while but soon willpower alone will not be enough. Instead of trusting your own willpower, trust in God’s power, His Word and the Holy Spirit to guide you in the way you should go. Instead of trying to do it on your own, walk by the Spirit and be victorious.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to always be with me. I know that when temptation comes my way, I have the victory through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Lord, help me when I am weak. I trust in You and in Your Power to fight the desires of the flesh. Guide me Lord, in the way I should go and help me to always walk by the Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
