Use Your Gifts

Romans 12 6-8

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:6-8

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

By the grace of God, He has given you gifts specific to the purpose He has planned for you and the church. Not everyone has the same gift, each one of us is unique but together we make the body of Christ complete. There are different types of gifts but it is the same God that works in all of you. As part of the body of Christ, it’s your responsibility to discover how to use those gifts for the good of the church and humanity. Whatever your gift is, your goal should be to use it to the best of your ability for God’s purpose so that He may be glorified.

May the Lord Be with You

2 Corinthians 13 14

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 13:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

May the fourth has become a day of observance for Star Wars fans. It is a play on the phrase “May the Force Be with You”.  But life is not a movie, you do however, get to choose the ending. Until that day, I pray that you would come to know the endless love of God, the Father. I pray that you would know the redeeming grace that comes through believing in the Son, Jesus Christ and I pray that you would receive the fellowship and power that comes with receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord be with you always.

Grace

Ephesians 2 8

Verse of the Day:  Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith; and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Salvation is a gift graciously given from God because of His great love for us.  You cannot buy it, earn it, work for it or get it based on your own abilities. It is an undeserved gift you can only receive through faith. Through God’s plan to save us, Jesus paid for this gift when He died on the cross for our sins.  Everything you have, everything you are, and everything you do is all because of God’s saving grace.

Jesus is the Greatest Gift

1 12-10 1 John 3 16.jpg

Verse of the Day:  John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God loved each one of us so much He gave the greatest gift ever, His only Son, Jesus Christ. God gave us His Son, and the Son gave His life for us. This was all part of the plan of salvation so we could receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. Because of God’s grace and mercy, the gift of salvation is available to all through Christ.
