1 Chronicles 29:13

Verse of the Day:  1 Chronicles 29:13

Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

I want to wish you all a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! Over the past few days I’ve shared with you just a few of the things I’m thankful for but there are so many that I would never be able to express them all. I’m also thankful for you, the readers of The Consecrated Woman. It’s a blessing to be able to share God’s Word with you. Thank you for your continued support. I pray that you are encouraged and inspired daily. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. As we give thanks to our Lord today let’s remember that God is good all the time and we should be thankful every day of the year. May God bless you and your loved ones today and always. Happy Thanksgiving!

10 Days of Thanksgiving – Day 9: Thankful for Everything

Ephesians 5:20

Verse of the Day:   Ephesians 5:20

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am truly thankful for everything God has done for me and the plans He has for my future. I am thankful for everything He has blessed me with, it’s more than I could ever deserve. I’m thankful because I know my God hears me, sees me, loves me and is always there for me. I’m thankful for my salvation and for the relationship I have with my Savior. I’m also thankful for God’s love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. I give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart.

10 Days of Thanksgiving – Day 1: Thankful for All of God’s Wonderful Deeds

Psalm 9:1

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 9:1

I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

Thanksgiving Day is quickly approaching and I thought it would be nice to share some of the things I am thankful for. The Lord has been so, so good to me. I am thankful for everything the Lord has done for me and like King David, I want to share His wonderful deeds and goodness with the world. I am grateful for another day of life, for my salvation and for God’s love, grace and mercy. Without them where would I be? The Lord rescued me from a life of sin and although I am not perfect, I am not who I used to be. He has broken the chains that bound me and set me free. I have a roof over my head, food on the table and clothes on my back. The Lord provides for all my needs and so much more. I have an amazing husband who loves the Lord, loves me and loves our family.  I am blessed beyond measure!

God Is Good All the Time

Verse of the Day: 1 Chronicles 16:34

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

The Bible doesn’t say, “Give thanks to the Lord when you feel good”. It says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good”. Giving thanks shouldn’t be based on how you feel, it should be based on who God is, and He is good all the time. If you’re reading this it means God woke you up this morning, thank God for another day of life. Thank Him for all He’s done for you both big and small. Thank Him for the things He’s done for you both seen and unseen. Thank Him for the things that didn’t happen, the things you didn’t even know you needed protection from. Give glory and praise to your heavenly Father because He is worthy and there is always something to be thankful for.

Thankful

Psalm 30 12

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 30:12

To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

Although your life may not be perfect and you may have troubles, there is so much to be thankful for. Even with everything going on in the world today, you still have a great deal to be thankful for. No matter what is currently going on in your life, there is always something to be thankful for so count your blessings and not your troubles. Thank God for waking you up this morning. Thank Him for all that you do have. Thank Him for your salvation. Thank Him for His love and mercy and for who He is. Never stop giving thanks to God, even with your last breath give thanks to the Lord for He truly is worthy of praise and thanksgiving.

Rejoice, Pray, Give Thanks!

1 Thessalonians 5 16-18 (2)

Verse of the Day:  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.

We don’t always need to change our circumstances sometimes we just need to change the way we see them. No matter what you are going through keep rejoicing in the Lord, keep praying and keep giving thanks to God. Don’t give up on God because He’ll never give up on you.

The Words of Your Mouth

Psalm 19 14 2

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 19:14

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Let your words and thoughts be pleasing to God when you pray, praise and give thanks. Likewise, let your words be pleasing and acceptable to Him in your everyday conversations and thoughts. Fill your mind and heart with positive thinking so there will be no room for negativity or sinful thoughts. Sometimes it’s difficult to stay positive in a negative world, but if you stay focused on the Lord who is your Rock and Redeemer, you can have peace in all circumstances.

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 119 164

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 119:164

Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.

There is no set number of times a day we must praise God each day but wouldn’t it be wonderful if we just stopped what we were doing throughout the day to delight and please God with our praise, to give thanks and honor to the one who is worthy of praise? We have so much to be thankful for and it doesn’t take but a few moments to say, “Thank you God!” It doesn’t even matter what we are going though, even in difficult times, through faith we can still lift up our hands to praise our God. We can praise Him with our words and with our singing and give Him all the glory!

Have a Blessed Sunday!

Psalm 84 4

Verse of the Day: Psalm 84:4

Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.

What a blessing it is to be in the house of the Lord enjoying the presence of the one true living God. It is a privilege and an honor to offer our praises to our Lord and Savior. The house of the Lord is also a place where we can go to be refreshed, revived and renewed. How truly blessed we are to enter His house to offer our praise, worship and give thanks.

Sing Praises

Psalm 30 4

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 30:4

Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people; praise his holy name.

Have you ever noticed that no matter what is going on in your life singing praises to the Lord always makes you feel better?  It doesn’t matter where you are, at home, church or even in the car, singing praises to the Lord makes God’s presence even more known and brings overwhelming peace and joy. The Lord has been so gracious and merciful to us, give thanks and praise His holy name. Make singing praises to God part of your day and you will definitely start to see a change in your mindset and attitude.
