Verse of the Day: 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sin, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Unconfessed sin can be a stumbling block that keeps you from getting closer to God. The Bible says, The Lord is far from the wicked but He hears the prayers of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29) Even on your best days there may be sin in your life. When you pray, humbly come before the Lord and honestly confess your sins relying on His mercy and forgiveness through the righteousness of Christ. God is merciful and ready to forgive so don’t let unconfessed sin come between you and the Lord.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 63:4
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
Praise God for who He is by focusing your thoughts on His wonderful characteristics and what they mean to you personally. God is good, forgiving, loving, merciful, full of grace, holy and so much more. Even on your darkest day God is worthy of all praise. Joyfully lift your hands toward your heavenly Father as you pray because He is worthy of all praise. The Lord is great and greatly to be praised! As long as you have breath in your lungs, praise God!
Verse of the Day: Psalm 33:4
For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
Every word, every promise, everything He does is right and true. We can have confidence and believe it all, because He is faithful. God is good and never changes, we can rely on this truth. He is deserving of all praise for His truth, faithfulness, mercy and so much more.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 40:5
Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.
God is good all the time and He has wonderful blessings planned for you, including the gift of salvation. There is no way we could even begin to count all of God’s blessings. He is worthy to be praised for His goodness and mercy.
Verse of the Day: Lamentations 3:22-23
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Tomorrow is the first day of a new year, it’s a chance for a new beginning. Put the past behind you and start this new year with your focus on God. He loves you, He is merciful and His love and compassion for you never fails. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and see that He is good.
