God Will Get You Through It

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 4:8-9

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Faith in Action: No matter what you are going through have faith that God will get you through the storm. You may have troubles, but you will not be destroyed. As long as you have God, you have hope. Trust in God to see you through whatever life throws at you.

God Will Get You Through It

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 4:8-9

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

The Coronavirus pandemic has been a part of our lives for over a year now. It’s still affecting our physical health, mental health, our work, home and social life. So many people have been infected and many have lost their lives. It’s just as important today as it was a year ago to take every precaution possible to help contain the spread of this virus. As Christians, we need to remember that God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Jesus said we would have troubles but then He said not to worry because He overcame the world.

Dear Lord, thank You for another day of life, not everyone woke up this morning. Thank You for your promises that give us peace and comfort as we go through life’s storms. Because Jesus overcame the world and death itself, we know that nothing can separate us from Your love and we have the victory through Jesus Christ! Amen

The Lifter of My Head

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 3:3

But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Thanksgiving Day is over and not everyone has or was able to spend time with family and friends. This has been an extremely difficult year for many people and for some, the holidays can be a lonely and sad time. I sometimes feel it too. I miss loved ones that have gone to be with the Lord and those who can’t be near me. But we are not alone, God is with us in every moment of every day. If we focus on the Lord, His goodness and our blessings He will get us through it. He will give us comfort, peace and joy when we draw near to Him.

God is Love

1 John 4 16

Verse of the Day:  1 John 4:16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.  God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

God is love, is the first Bible verse I ever learned. I still remember the days when as a child I would walk to the front of our church, right up to the microphone set up for the children to recite Bible verses and proudly say, “God is love”. Let your first thoughts of the day be “God is love” and “God loves me”. When you come to really know and rely on these truths it will change the way you react to things that happen throughout your day. God loves you so much He sent His only Son to be your Savior. There is no greater love than the love God has for you. No matter what happens remind yourself that it’s going to be okay because God loves you. You can rely on God’s love for you and His strength will get you through the most difficult days if only you would trust in His unfailing love for you.

God Will Get You Through It

2 Corinthians 4 8-9

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 4:8-9

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

The Coronavirus pandemic is all over the news and on everyone’s mind. It’s affecting our physical health, mental health, and our work, home and social life. People are scared and it’s important to take every precaution possible to help contain the spread of this virus. As Christians, we need to remember that God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Getting Through Dark Days

Psalm 43 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 43:5

Why, my soul, are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me?  Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Life is not always sunshine and flowers.  There are days when bad things happen, days when sadness creeps in and there are days when we just feel lonely.  In these times, you need to lift your head toward God and give praise to your Savior. God loves you more than you will ever know. Thank Him for all the good in your life.  Put your hope in God and rely on Him to get you through even the darkest of days.

Hope

Jeremiah 17 7.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 17:7

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.

Hope is confidence in God’s love. Hope is the expectation of a future with God.  Hope is the optimism you have in knowing that no matter what may come God will get you through it.  Hope is the anticipation of drawing closer to God. Hope is the assurance you have in knowing that with God all things are possible.  Hope is a blessing from God.

My Deliverer

Psalm 34 19

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 34:19

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Life can be hard and at times may even seem unfair.  You will go through tough times but don’t give up hope.  Keep your mind on the things above.  Keep praying.  Cry out to God and be comforted in knowing that He hears you. Keep your focus on God and He will get you through the troubles that come your way and in due time you will be delivered from them all.

Courage for Today

1 Samuel 17 37

Verse of the Day:  1 Samuel 17:37

The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

If you’re going through a difficult time remember that you can have courage in your current situation because you know God has brought you through difficult times before and He’ll do it again. God was with you then and He’s with you now.
