Saved from Yourself

Psalm 118 14.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 118:14

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.

Even if you are going down the wrong path the Lord will never forget you, He will never leave you.  Surrender to His calling, it’s not too late to turn around.  The Lord will save you from yourself and from your own bad decisions.  Let Him be your strength, your song and your Savior.

Don’t Be Discouraged

Deuteronomy 31 8

Verse of the Day:  Deuteronomy 31:8

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Everyone has days when they feel discouraged, when they feel like giving up or when they just have a really bad day.  Those are the days when all you can do is turn to God and give it all to Him. When you do, He reminds you that no matter what you’re going through He is with you and He’ll never leave you.

Immanuel

1 12-15 1 Isaiah 7 14.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

The prophecy revealed the birth of Jesus and they will call Him Immanuel, which means God with us. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and is always with us to the end of the age. This was all part of God’s divine plan for the salvation of man and to restore fellowship between God and man. How wonderful to know that God loves us, is with us and will never leave us.

Knowing and Trusting God

1 10-12 1

Verse of the Day:   Psalm 9:10

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

The only way to know God is to seek Him with all of your heart.  Spend time with Him in prayer, read the Holy Bible, really make an effort to understand who He is.   The more you seek God in faith, the more you will come to know Him, the more you know Him, the more you will trust Him.  When you experience God’s love, grace and mercy for yourself, you will come to completely trust in Him and realize that He will never abandon you.

Smile, Jesus Loves You!

1 10-9 1

Verse of the Day:   Proverbs 15:13

A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day.

Even though there may be things going on in our lives that make us feel sad, we cannot let them bring us down.  There is still good in the world, there are still good people and there is still a reason to smile.  Jesus loves you and will never leave you and that’s more than enough reason to smile.
