Verse of the Day:  Matthew 11:28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Throughout the Bible there are verses that encourage us to be diligent workers and there are also verses that say we need to rest, even God rested on the seventh day. Whether you are physically, emotionally or spiritually exhausted and burdened Jesus is inviting you and encouraging you to come to Him to find rest, peace, comfort, happiness and salvation. Believe in Jesus Christ, trust in Him and He will give you rest for your body, mind for your soul.

Obedience to God Brings Blessings

Psalm 128 1-2

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 128:1-2

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

It doesn’t matter if you are rich, poor, young or old, blessings and prosperity come to all who fear and obey the Lord. Reverence to God, submitting to His will and obedience to His Word are the keys to a blessed and prosperous life. God wants you to enjoy the fruits of your labor. He wants you to be happy and reap all the benefits of His promises. If you walk in His ways all will be well with your soul while you live on this earth, and even better, for all eternity.

A Cheerful Heart

Proverbs 15 15

All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

You can choose to be worried and miserable or you can choose to trust God and be happy. The way to a cheerful heart begins with giving thanks to God in every situation. When God dwells in your heart there is peace and joy and when you live by faith God provides. You can always find something to be thankful for even if you have to look a little harder.

God’s Word is Right and True

For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

Every word, every promise, every part of God’s Word is right and true. His commands and precepts are righteous and fair. God’s Word is an awesome display of His power, wisdom and goodness. God’s Word exists for all people equally and its path leads to heaven and happiness. We can be confident and believe every Word because He is truly faithful in all He does and keeps every promise. God is good and never changes, we can rely on this truth. He is so deserving of all praise for His righteousness, truth and faithfulness.

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

Proverbs 3 5 a

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

There are going to be times when you say, “God, I don’t understand why this is happening.”  That’s when you must learn to accept that you will not always understand everything God is doing. That’s when you just have to trust that God has a plan and that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Life is not always going to be easy but if you learn to trust God with all your heart you will have peace, joy and happiness in this life no matter what is happening around you.

God is Good to All

Psalm 145 9

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 145:9

The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

God is the essence of perfect goodness. He is kind, caring, compassionate, generous and merciful toward all who seek Him. There is not a single person God is not ready and willing to bless; not a single person who God does not want to see happy and not a single sinner God would not show mercy to.  Everything from God is good and all good things are from God. Turn to God, His goodness and love last forever.

Take Care of Your Soul

3 John 1 2

Verse of the Day:  3 John 1:2

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Make sure you take care of your body, but don’t forget to also take care of your soul, good health starts from the inside.  Do things that make you smile and bring you joy.  Do volunteer work, it not only helps others, it makes you feel happy too.  Forgive, let go of anger and hurt so you can move forward. And remember, the most important thing you can do for your soul is to spend alone time with God.

A joyful heart is good medicine.

Feeling joy in ordinary things isn’t as hard as it seems.  To find joy in your life focus on the good and be grateful for what you have. It’s not happy people who are thankful, it’s thankful people who are happy.   Give thanks to the Lord for in his presence is fullness of joy.
