My Restorer

Psalm 30 11

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 30:11

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.

For whatever reason, be it sin, mourning, sickness or some other kind trouble, if you are in a season of darkness you need to turn to God. He is the restorer of light and goodness. He will restore you and turn your sorrow into joy, your brokenness into beauty, your wailing into dancing. Seek the Lord by prayer and supplication having faith that God is able to change your circumstances and in His time, He will deliver you from your troubles. Until He does, keep praising Him because when the time does come, He can change things in the blink of an eye restoring your spirit, your mind and your heart.

God’s Love Never Fails

Psalm 73 26

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

We are not perfect, we make mistakes and we fall to temptations and tribulations.  No matter how much we want to do better we sometimes fail, we sometimes let God and ourselves down.  But we serve a loving God and no matter how many times we fall, He picks us up.  He continues to love us because His love never fails.  He loves us not because of who we are but because of who He is.  Although we don’t have the strength to carry on ourselves, we have strength through God who is our ever present, never failing refuge for all eternity.

A Soul on Fire

2 Timothy 1 6

Verse of the Day:  2 Timothy 1:6

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

A soul on fire for Jesus is a heart that has moved from knowing who God is to having a personal relationship with God.  It’s a soul that’s passionate about sharing the Word of God and the love of God with hurting people.  Be sure to keep your flame fanned by using the gifts God has given you to help bring salvation and hope to the lost.

Share the Love

1 John 4 11

Verse of the Day:  1 John 4:11

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

God’s love flows to us and it also needs to flow through us.  When we receive God’s love it will change our heart so much that we feel the need to share it with other people.  We can share God’s love by practicing forgiveness, compassion and by praying for one another. God’s love is meant to be shared so let your light shine everywhere you go.

God Sees You

Verse of the Day:  Genesis 16:13

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

God sees you. He knows your heart and He knows your pain. You are not alone. He loves you more than you could ever imagine. Trust God and give Him your brokenness. Allow Him to heal your heart and lead you to restoration.

A Heart at Peace

Proverbs 14 30

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 14:30

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

When you have a real relationship with God, He changes your heart.  You start to feel freed from anger, worry and envy.  You have peace in your heart and a hope that makes you joyful.  But a heart that envies the happiness, prosperity and success of others exhausts the body and soul.  Don’t let envy steal your peace and joy, don’t let it affect your spirit or your health. Trust in the Lord, what is meant for you won’t pass you by.

The Words of Your Mouth

Psalm 19 14

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 19:14

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Let your words and thoughts be pleasing to God in all circumstances.  Not only when you pray or think about godly things but also in your everyday conversations and thoughts.  Fill your mind and heart with positivity so there will be no room for negativity.

Life’s Instruction Manual

proverbs 3 1-2

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 3:1-2

Do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

People often joke about life not coming with a manual or instructions.  It actually does, it’s called The Holy Bible.  If we live our lives according to God’s commands, we can avoid many problems and live a long, peaceful and prosperous life.  Even better than that, we can live forever in heaven.

A Bitter Heart

Matthew 12 34

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 12:34

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good?  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Don’t let evil thoughts and feelings fester in your heart.   If you are holding on to some sort of bitterness try to get to the bottom of what is making you feel this way. Ask God to help you get rid of any resentment and anger you may be holding on to. Eventually, what is in your heart will pour out of your mouth and cause you problems.

Love is Kind

Proverbs 3 3

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 3:3

Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Love is kind and your kindness shows compassion to the people you love.  Sometimes we slip into a comfortable state where we take each other for granted, not intentionally, but it happens and we no longer go out of our way to be kind.  The Bible tells us over and over that we should be kind to one another.  How much more should we intentionally be kind to our loved ones?  Let’s choose to go out of our way to show kindness to the people we love.
