God Can Turn It Around

Genesis 50 20

Verse of the Day:  Genesis 50:20

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

This is one of my favorite Bible verses because it reminds me that no matter what the devil tries to use to harm us God can turn it around and it use it for good. God can use your past to help others and your deepest pain can be used to set your calling in motion. God has a plan and a purpose for your life so no matter you’ve been through, what’s been done to you or what you’ve done God can still use you for His purpose. Trust in God and don’t give up.

Lend a Helping Hand

Proverbs 31 20

Verse of the Day:        Proverbs 31:20

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.

As godly women who love the Lord we should aspire to help the poor and needy. Do what you can for as many as you can when you can. That doesn’t mean we all have to do extraordinary things. Sometimes, it’s simply a kind word, a sincere gesture or lending a helping hand to someone in need. Each of you should do what God puts in your heart to do and do it with love, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Take Care of Your Soul

3 John 1 2

Verse of the Day:  3 John 1:2

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

We all have been very focused on our physical heath lately due to the Coronavirus. It’s important to make sure you take care of your body and enjoy life, but don’t forget to also take care of your soul because good health starts from the inside. Do things that make you smile and bring you joy. Do volunteer work, it not only helps others, it also brings you joy. Forgive others, let go of anger and hurt so you can move forward leaving the past behind. Exercise daily faith, hope and love in your Christian walk. Above all, fill your heart with the Word of God and let your soul be renewed by spending time alone with God who daily refreshes your spirit.

A Cheerful Giver

2 Corinthians 9 7

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Spread the love of Christ with the less fortunate this Christmas. There are a couple of weeks left until Christmas so you still have time to make a donation to a worthy cause that helps people in need. Unless you’ve been there yourself, you don’t realize what a difference a little help makes. The simple things we take for granted someone else is praying for. Follow your heart and remember that the Lord has blessed you so you can bless others. Whether it’s big or small make a donation to your favorite charity, every bit helps and makes a difference in the lives of others.

Stop Worrying, Start Serving

Matthew 6 27 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 6:27

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Worrying doesn’t change a thing and it sure doesn’t add any benefit to your life. Instead of worrying start serving. When you’re busy serving you don’t have as much time to worry. Focus on helping others and God will make sure your needs are taken of.

Let God Work Through You

2 Corinthians 8 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 8:5

And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.

Be so full of God’s love and joy that it spills over into the lives of those who also need Him. Give yourself fully to God and allow Him to use you for His purpose, let Him work through you to help others.

Helping Others

Acts 20 35 (2).jpg

Verse of the Day:  Acts 20:35

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

I recently read an article about random acts of kindness raising dopamine levels and boosting your mood.  Shortly afterwards I happened to read Acts 20:35 and it all made sense.  We feel good when we do good deeds for others because we are blessed when we give unselfishly.  Give what you can whether it’s your time, money or encouragement.
