Now Is the Right Time to Be Saved

2 Corinthians 6 2

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 6:2

For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

Jesus came to save the world at the right time, a time that was preordained by God. When Jesus was in the garden at Gethsemane and cried out to God the Father and when He was on the cross crying out, God heard Him and answered His prayers. God’s will was done and on the third day Jesus was delivered from death and rose from the grave. God sent His only Son to pay the price for ours sins and to make a way for us to be saved. From that day to the second coming of Christ is the time for salvation. That means we are currently living in the day of salvation. NOW is the right time to give your life to God, now is the right time to heed His call, today is the right time to be saved. Jesus is coming soon.  Don’t put off your salvation until it’s too late.

Change Begins Within Ourselves

2 Chronicles 7 14

Verse of the Day:  2 Chronicles 7:14

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Many have turned their backs on the Lord and not having a relationship with God is what’s wrong with our society today. They no longer fear the Lord and therefore lack wisdom. How do we fix it? We humble ourselves, pray, seek God, turn from our selfish and wicked ways and walk in His commandments. If we do these things God will hear us and have mercy on us. He will forgive us and restore us. But to change the world, each one of us must first change ourselves.

Brag About the Lord

1 Corinthians 1 31

Verse of the Day:  1 Corinthians 1:31

Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

True wisdom is not found in your own understanding, strength is not found in your own power and wealth is not found in earthly riches. They are found in knowing the one true living God. I cannot boast about anything I have because I know that every good gift comes from my Father above. Everything I have and everything I am is because of God’s unfailing love, mercy and saving grace.  The only thing I can boast about is knowing the Lord. I can boast about His kindness, justice and righteousness. I can brag about what He’s done for me, how He changed my life and how He saved a wretch like me.

A Change of Heart and Spirit

Psalm 51 10.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 51:10

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Even David, a man after God’s heart sinned against God, but he recognized that he needed a profound change of heart and spirit and he knew he could not make this change on his own. For out of the heart come evil thoughts–murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. (Matthew 15:19) No matter how much you try to change on your own at best the changes will only be temporary. Only God’s love and mercy can transform a sinful, stubborn heart of stone and only God can truly renew your spirit. If you are ready for a change of heart and spirit, ask the One who created it to change it.

Happy Monday!

Proverbs 6 10-11

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 6:10-11

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest — and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

Although we may be tempted to hit the snooze button on the alarm a few more times, especially on a Monday, it’s time to rise and shine for another week of work.  Laziness may sound good now but you’ll pay for it later. Hard work brings prosperity, laziness brings poverty.  Take pleasure in the work God gives you and do your work diligently for the glory of the Lord. Work is a gift so be cheerful and thank God  for your job.
