Brag About Jesus

1 11-4 1

Verse of the Day:   Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

Your true wisdom and value is not found in your own understanding, power, or riches.  It is found in knowing God and in salvation.  I cannot boast about anything I have but I can boast about knowing the Lord. I can boast about His kindness, justice, and righteousness. Everything I have and everything I am is because of Him and because of His unfailing love and mercy.  If you’re going to brag about something, brag about Jesus.

He Hears Your Prayers

1 10-15 1.jpg

Verse of the Day:   Jeremiah 29:12

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

How encouraging to know we serve a God who hears our prayers.  Through His love and mercy God promises that when we call on Him and pray to Him, He will listen.  Whatever the answer may be, we can be assured that God hears our prayers and know that He will answer them in his own time and way.

God is Omnipotent

1jeremiah 32 17

Jeremiah 32:17

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 32:17

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

God is all powerful and nothing is too hard for him.  When we feel overwhelmed by our circumstances we need only remember that we serve a mighty God who created the heavens and the earth. He loves us, cares for us, and nothing is impossible for him.  Nothing is beyond his power and there is nothing that his power cannot affect.

To Him I Belong

1-Jeremiah 10 23

Jeremiah 10:23

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 10:23

Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.

The devil tries to trick us into thinking “this is my life and I can do what I want with it”.  The truth is our lives are not our own, we belong to God.  God has a plan for your life and if you submit to him, he will direct your steps.

The Potter’s Hands

Jeremiah 18 4.jpg

Jeremiah 18:4

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 18:4

But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

We are the clay, marred by sin and imperfect, feeling unusable. But in the potter’s hands we are transformed into a new creation.  If we give ourselves to God, he will mold us into a vessel fit for his purpose and every good work he has planned for us.

This is the day which the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalms 118:24

“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Today I celebrate my 51st birthday and I am so happy and I feel so blessed! God has really moved in my life this year and although there were some difficult times, with the help the Lord I got through them. I am so excited to see what the Lord has for me this year starting with the launch of The Consecrated Woman Facebook page and website. If there is one thing I have learned it’s that it is never too late to turn to the Lord and you’re never too old to change your life.
