Verse of the Day: John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God loved each one of us so much He gave the greatest gift ever, His only Son, Jesus Christ. God gave us His Son and the Son gave His life for us. This was all part of the plan of salvation so we could receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. Because of God’s grace and mercy, the gift of salvation is available to all through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Verse of the Day: Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Even though Jesus was born King, by His own example He teaches us humility. The Bible says that Jesus did not come to be served but to serve. As ambassadors of Christ our lives should exemplify His traits and should reflect Christ in us. Let’s follow His example of humility by serving the less fortunate this holiday season and throughout the year. Verse of the Day: Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We were born into a world of sin but because Jesus gave His life to pay for our sins we have been offered the gift of salvation and eternal life. Thank God for loving us so much that He gave His Only Son so that we could be saved and now because He died for us we should live our lives for Him. How do we live for Jesus? Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:29-31).
