Verse of the Day: Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
We’re not always good at waiting, it’s just our nature. We get impatient, frustrated and start to doubt God’s will in our lives. Instead we need to be confident in God’s love for us. We need to wait on the Lord’s timing, hope in His mercy and believe in His promises!
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 4:23
Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. (GNT)
If you think your thoughts don’t matter you are very wrong. When you think about things or believe something whether it’s good or bad, it turns into the things you do. If you do these things enough times they turn into a habit. Your habits determine your character and your character determines who you are in life. Who you are in life determines where you will spend eternity. So you see, your thoughts really do matter.
Verse of the Day: Romans 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
It’s easy to see that the devil is busy stirring up evil all over the world. That’s why we, as Christians, need to keep vigilant and put on the whole armor of God. Don’t repay evil for evil, instead love your enemies and pray for them. Keep doing good deeds and don’t let evil weaken you. Be strong and courageous in your faith, be an overcomer.
Verse of the Day: Ephesians 3:19
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
We were created with a longing for Christ. We unsuccessfully try to fill this emptiness with people and things. But the truth is, only Jesus can make you whole. Only Jesus can satisfy your soul. It’s not enough to know who He is. You need to personally experience the love of Christ in your life.
Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
You have been chosen by God to be royalty. You may not have been born on this earth as royalty but because you belong to our heavenly Father, you are the daughter of the King! You are God’s special possession and of great worth. Praise God for choosing to have a special relationship with you.
Verse of the Day: Philippians 2:15
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.
This world has been darkened by sin but as followers of Christ we are meant to shine like stars in the night sky. As faithful ambassadors of Christ shine like the Son. Be who God created you to be, a light in a dark world.
Verse of the Day: Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Jesus is the light of the world and you should strive to be Christlike. Your relationship with the Lord is personal but He wants you to shine as a light for the world to see. Your light shines by the way you live your life for Jesus by doing good and being an example of God’s love and mercy to the world.
