Verse of the Day: Psalm 9:10
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
The only way to know God is to seek Him with all of your heart. Spend time with Him in prayer, read the Holy Bible and really make an effort to understand who He is. The more you seek God in faith, the more you will come to know Him. You will know His true nature, power, wisdom, faithfulness and goodness. When you experience God’s love, grace and mercy for yourself you will come to completely trust in Him and realize that He is always there for you.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 31:8
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up for the people who have no voice. Stand up for the oppressed. It’s our duty to help those who cannot help themselves. We ought to go into the world and donate our time, money and resources for the poor, the destitute and the suffering. We must be protectors of those who are unable to plead their own cause. It’s up to us to share the Gospel and demonstrate the teachings of Jesus to the people so they too may know the mercy, forgiveness and love of God.
Verse of the Day: Hosea 6:6
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
God is more pleased with mercy, love and compassion towards all people rather than formalities. More than sacrifices God wants you to know Him on a personal level. He wants you to trust in Him, submit to His will and be obedient to His laws. God wants you to worship in spirit and in truth rather than go through the motion of ceremonies. Rituals and sacrifices have their place in organized religion but without your heart truly in it for the right reasons they are meaningless.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
One of the most important things we can ever teach children is how much God loves them. Knowing they are loved by God Himself will give them confidence to shine. Let’s be examples for the children in our lives and teach them what it is to know and love God and what it is to be loved by Him.
