2 Peter 3 18

Verse of the Day:  2 Peter 3:18

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Christianity is long-term, it’s for all eternity but we can’t just stay where we are today we must continue to grow in our knowledge, relationship and faith in Jesus. Reading, studying and applying the Bible to your life will help you grow closer to Jesus Christ our Savior.

Hope for Today

Romans 15 13

Romans 15:13

Verse of the Day:  Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Without hope we feel helpless, alone, and powerless.  But our God is the source of all hope.   Hope for healing, hope for peace, hope for joy.  All hope comes from knowing, believing, and trusting God and by his grace he has given us the gift of hope.

Love and Good Deeds

Hebrews 10 24

Hebrews 10:24

Verse of the Day:  Hebrews 10:24

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

My love for God and gratitude for his mercy and goodness inspires me to share his love with others.  Let’s motivate each other and encourage acts of love and service for those in need so that our heavenly Father would be glorified.   We need to do something, help somebody, invite someone, if not us, then who will?

The Word

Luke 11 28

Luke 11:28

Verse of the Day:  Luke 11:28

He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

It’s not enough just to hear the word of God, you must obey it.  Let the word of God settle into your heart, mind and soul.  Love the word, study the word, hear the word, and obey the word and it will be a light unto your path.

2 Peter 3:18

Verse of the Day:   2 Peter 3:18

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory both now and forever! Amen.

Christianity is long-term, it’s for all eternity.  We cannot stay where we are today, we cannot let our faith become stagnant.  We must continue to grow in our relationship with Christ through grace and blessings shown to us.  The personal knowledge of Christ’s love for us is what keeps us from falling and even when we fall he is there for us, to show us more grace.
