A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?
Life is a journey. God is at work in your life and is directing your steps for His purpose. He will lead you to eternal life with Him if only you would let go of your need to follow your own path. It’s impossible for man to know what lies ahead. Only God knows and it won’t always be easy because there is a time for every purpose under heaven but don’t worry, Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and let Him lead you in the direction you should go. You may be going through a hard time right now but if you are faithful and obedient even when you don’t understand where He’s leading you, eventually, you will see the fruits of your labor.
Lord, You know everything from the beginning to the end so I trust in You with all my heart to lead me in the direction You want me to go. Help me to be faithful and obedient every step of the way. Amen

As we begin to immerse ourselves into the holiday season let’s not forget those in need. There are so many ways we can help the less fortunate. God supplies all your needs out of the abundance of grace and mercy He has for His people. Through Christ we have an everlasting hope and we know that we will not be forgotten. We may forget about God, but He never forgets about us. Likewise, He never forgets the needy nor should we. Ask God to lead you in finding a way to help those in need this holiday season and throughout the year. Let Him work through you as you donate your time, money, food or services. A little help goes a long way and gives so much hope to many.

When you feel far from God, when you feel alone, when your heart feels sad and overwhelmed, turn to God. He is always there for you and everything will be alright because He is in control. Let your heart desire to be led by God. Ask Him to strengthen your faith as you turn to Him, for He alone is your rock and your salvation.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground.
God loves us so much He gave us commands to obey that lead us towards His goodness and mercy and away from a path that leads to destruction. Having a teachable spirit and a willingness to do God’s will places one in a position to be led by God.
