Verse of the Day: Ephesians 6:18 CEV
Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people.
I cannot emphasize how important it is to pray for one another. In an age where everything is put on social media we may think we know what’s going on in each other’s lives but almost everyone we know keeps the things that hurt them most hidden from their friends and family. People may push us away or refuse to hear God’s message and we may not know exactly what their needs are but God does. We can pray for overall healing, protection, salvation and for God’s will to be done in the lives of our loved ones. If God puts someone in your thoughts make sure you pray for them, you never know what they may be going through.
Verse of the Day: James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
When you have a decision to make that you are uncertain about, take it to the Lord in prayer. God is wise and all knowing, the giver of all good things. Bring your concerns to Him with sincerity and ask for guidance and wisdom to make the right decision.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 100:2
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
God is good and giving Him grateful praise through songs is a beautiful way to worship Him during your prayer time. When you come before the Lord singing joyful songs not only does it please God but it also refreshes your soul. It doesn’t matter how well you sing; what matters is that it comes from your heart.
Verse of the Day: 1 Samuel 3:10
The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
Prayer is not only about us talking to God, it’s also about actively listening to hear the voice of God. We may not hear an audible voice like Samuel did but if we listen with our heart we will become sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Spend time with God by simply being still. Listen with your heart and learn to recognize God’s voice.
Verse of the Day: Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
One of the ways to build your relationship with God is to spend time with Him in prayer. It is the most personal way to experience God but often we forget, are too busy, lack spiritual discipline or are just plain too lazy to pray, but prayer is too important to neglect. Come to God with praise and thanksgiving, confess your sins and bring your requests to Him. Pray about anything and everything. Nothing is too big or too small for God. The important thing is to dedicate time each and every day to talk with the Lord and to listen to what He has to say to you.
Verse of the Day: Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
If you are at a crossroad in your life or have an important decision to make and you’re not sure which path to take listen closely to the Holy Spirit, who will guide you onto the right path. Humbly and earnestly seek guidance through prayer, fasting and studying the Word of God. The Holy Spirit also helps you in your day to day life when you are in tune with His prompting, which are always aligned with scripture.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 84:12
Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
As wives, mothers and grandmothers we do our best to take care of our families to the best of our abilities and we do as much as is humanly possible. There are some things that are out of our control and for us, they are impossible. Those are the things we need to give to God. Through prayer, supplication and faith put your trust in the Lord Almighty who deals in making the impossible, possible. Do the possible and trust God for the impossible.
