Be Generous

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 11:25

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

Be kind and generous to others because God has been kind and generous to you. Don’t just pray for others to be blessed, let God use you to bless others as well. When you’re generous to the poor or to someone in need God will always make sure your needs are taken care of and will also bless you spiritually. Trust in God’s promises and help those in need.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being so kind and generous to me. I pray for those in need because I know You are able to bless them exceedingly and abundantly. Lord, I also pray that You would use me to be a blessing to others. Amen

Happy Monday!

Verse of the Day:   Proverbs 6:10-11

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest — and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

Although we may be tempted to hit the snooze button on the alarm a few more times, particularly on a Monday, it’s time to rise and shine for another week of work. Laziness may sound good now but you’ll pay for it later. Hard work and diligence brings prosperity, laziness brings poverty. Take pleasure in the work God gives you and do your work diligently for the glory of the Lord. Work is a gift so be cheerful and thank God for your job, especially in these trying times when many are not able to work. Have a great day and remember to work hard, be kind and stay humble!

Obedience to God Brings Blessings

Psalm 128 1-2

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 128:1-2

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

It doesn’t matter if you are rich, poor, young or old, blessings and prosperity come to all who fear and obey the Lord. Reverence to God, submitting to His will and obedience to His Word are the keys to a blessed and prosperous life. God wants you to enjoy the fruits of your labor. He wants you to be happy and reap all the benefits of His promises. If you walk in His ways all will be well with your soul while you live on this earth, and even better, for all eternity.

Life’s Instruction Manual

proverbs 3 1-2

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 3:1-2

Do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

People often joke about life not coming with an instruction manual. It actually does, it’s called The Holy Bible. The Book of Proverbs is an excellent place to start if you’re looking for instructions. It is an example of the Biblical wisdom tradition, and raises questions of values, moral behavior, the meaning of human life, and right conduct. (Wikipedia) If we live our lives according to God’s commands and keep His Word in our heart we can avoid many problems and live a long, peaceful and prosperous life.  Even better than that, we can live forever in heaven.

A Heart at Peace

Proverbs 14 30

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 14:30

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

When you have a real relationship with God, He changes your heart.  You start to feel freed from anger, worry and envy.  You have peace in your heart and a hope that makes you joyful.  But a heart that envies the happiness, prosperity and success of others exhausts the body and soul.  Don’t let envy steal your peace and joy, don’t let it affect your spirit or your health. Trust in the Lord, what is meant for you won’t pass you by.

Teaching by Example

Psalm 34 11

Verse of the Day: Psalm 34:11

Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

The best gift we can give our children is to teach them to obey and follow the Lord which leads to wisdom, prosperity and a happy life. Teaching children to fear the Lord doesn’t mean they should be afraid of Him, it means they should respect Him and put Him first in their lives. Fear of the Lord requires awe, reverence, adoration, honor, worship, faith, trust, thankfulness and love.  We teach these to our children not just by word but by example. Share Jesus, the greatest gift of all, with your children.
