Verse of the Day: Psalm 3:5
I lie down and sleep: I wake again because the Lord sustains me.
If you’re reading this, you woke up this morning, not everyone did so be thankful for another day the Lord has given you. Remember, no matter what is going on your life you can rest in the arms of the Lord. If you turn to Him, He will give you protection and peace. Have a blessed day!
Verse of the Day: Psalm 34:8
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
I invite you to experience the infinite goodness of the Lord. He is perfect in every way, the author of all good things, everything about Him is good and He loves you. Turn to Him, put your hope in Him, and put your trust in Him alone. He is the only one that can fill your heart with peace. You will never know what it’s like to have a relationship with the Lord until you make an effort to really experience Him for yourself through prayer and reading the Word of God.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 77:12
I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.
During prayer, take time to reflect on all that the Lord has done for you. This is especially helpful when your current circumstances are challenging. Remembering the ways God has been merciful to you in the past will give you comfort and peace as He brings you through your present situation.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 63:3
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
Even on your worst day God’s love, grace, and mercy cover you because He is faithful even when you are not. We have so much to be grateful for that if we begin to glorify God for all He has done for us and count our blessing we would see that His love is better than anything in this life.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; in whom I will trust.
When we have a personal relationship with God we learn to trust Him in all situations. We know that no matter what is going on around us we can count on Him to be there for us because we know he loves us and always has our best interest at heart. People may fail you but God never will.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 37:3
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
There is a two-step process to receive this promise. The Lord will take care of all your needs but you need to trust in Him and do good. Notice it says “and” do good, not “or” do good. While you are waiting and trusting on God to fulfill his promise, do good.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 5:3
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
The most important thing you can do to start your day is to spend time with the Lord in prayer. Thank him for another day of life, lay your requests at his feet, and invite him into your day. After you spend time with God you can face anything.
