It’s Time to Move Forward

Verse of the Day: Deuteronomy 1:6

The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.”

The Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years due to their disobedience and lack of faith in God. If you find yourself just drifting through life, lacking purpose or direction, it’s crucial to place your complete trust in God. Embrace His promises and take steps to move beyond your current circumstances, and get off that metaphorical mountain. It’s time to step forward in faith toward the “Promised Land” of your God given goals, dreams and purpose. Trust in God and the plans He has for your life.

Esther: Courage and Faithfulness

Bible Verse: Esther 4:14

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Esther’s story in the Bible is about a courageous and faithful Jewish girl who becomes queen of Persia. Despite initially hiding her Jewish identity, she finds the courage to approach the King, risking her life to save her people. Her bravery shines through when even though it’s daring to approach the king without being called, Esther decides to speak up. In time, she reveals her Jewish identity and asks the King to spare the Jews and stop the evil plans of Haman. Esther’s courage isn’t just about facing danger; it’s about embracing her role and taking the opportunity to make a difference and stand up for what is right. Her courage comes from trusting in God and believing He will provide help and guidance. Her faithfulness is actively displayed as she carefully plans and makes wise, timely decisions while advocating for her people. In the end, because of Esther’s courage and faithfulness, the Jews are saved. Esther’s story teaches us about the power of faith and courage, even in difficult times, and how standing up for what’s right can make a big difference.

The Lesson: The main lesson of the story of Esther is that even in times of great difficulty, God is present and working behind the scenes to fulfill His purposes. It’s also important to recognize that God may have placed individuals in specific circumstances for a purpose. Esther’s courage and faithfulness demonstrates the importance of trusting in God’s wisdom and standing up for what is right. It teaches us to remain committed in our faith, to trust in God’s plan, and to advocate for justice in our own lives and communities trusting in the Lord’s help to triumph over evil.

Live Wisely

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 5:15-16

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

In these troubled times, it’s all too simple to veer off course from the path set by God. It’s important that we navigate life with mindful intent and purpose. Jesus stands as the example of righteousness and honorable life, offering a guiding light for our journey. Let diligence and discernment be your compass, seizing each moment with intention and unwavering devotion to the Lord. Seek God’s wisdom for every decision in your daily life and He will gladly give it to those who earnestly seek it.

A Confident Woman of God

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 31:25

Strength and honor are her clothing; she is confident about the future.

A virtuous woman of God carries herself with strength and honor in her attitude and her behavior. She is in control of her actions and does everything with purpose and uprightness. She is respected for more than her outward appearance, she is respected for her godliness and holiness. She is confident because she knows God is with her and in control of her life and the future.

Your Moment to Shine

Verse of the Day: Esther 4:14

Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.

God has a purpose and a plan for your life. The question remains: will you yield to God’s will? Though one may go through life without clarity or purpose, true alignment will begin when you humbly surrender to God’s plan, then things will fall into place. Prioritize seeking God above all else, approaching Him with a sincere heart. Ask Him to reveal His purpose for your life and begin your journey on the path towards fulfilling the moment for which you have been created.

Living by Faith

Verse of the Day:  Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in my body, I live by faith, indeed, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Are you living a life focused on yourself? Are you living a life without purpose or peace?  In order to get to where God wants you to be you have to leave your old life and your old ways in the past. Surrender your life to God and focus on the future He has planned for you. Christ now lives in you and you don’t have to live by your own power or strength anymore. Start living by faith in Jesus Christ who loves you so much He died on the cross for you.

Dear Jesus, Thank You for loving me so much You were willing to die on the cross for me. Although I can never repay You, I will try my best to live every day for You. By faith, I surrender my life to You, my blessed Savior. Amen

Don’t Wait for Perfect Conditions

Verse of the Day:   Ecclesiastes 11:4

Those who watch the wind blow will never sow, and those who observe the clouds will never reap.

If you’re waiting for perfect conditions like the right time, the right people, the right job, the right “whatever” to start living your God given dreams (your purpose) you’ll never get started. Don’t be afraid, God is with you and He will equip you with every good thing you need to do His will. It’s okay to start small, at least you’ve started to sow and it’s okay to make mistakes, it shows you’re trying and not just “watching the wind blow”. Don’t wait for “perfect conditions”, start with what you know now and with what you have now. Let go of fear, step out in faith and trust God to make a way.

Lord, Thank you for always being with me and for giving me a dream and purpose. Help me to let go of fear and step out in faith to do the work for Your kingdom. I know that you will equip me with whatever I need to do your will. I trust in you with all my heart. Amen

God Can Turn It Around

Genesis 50 20

Verse of the Day:  Genesis 50:20

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

This is one of my favorite Bible verses because it reminds me that no matter what the devil tries to use to harm us God can turn it around and it use it for good. God can use your past to help others and your deepest pain can be used to set your calling in motion. God has a plan and a purpose for your life so no matter you’ve been through, what’s been done to you or what you’ve done God can still use you for His purpose. Trust in God and don’t give up.

Use Your Gifts

Romans 12 6-8

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:6-8

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

By the grace of God, He has given you gifts specific to the purpose He has planned for you and the church. Not everyone has the same gift, each one of us is unique but together we make the body of Christ complete. There are different types of gifts but it is the same God that works in all of you. As part of the body of Christ, it’s your responsibility to discover how to use those gifts for the good of the church and humanity. Whatever your gift is, your goal should be to use it to the best of your ability for God’s purpose so that He may be glorified.
