Forgiven

Verse of the Day:   Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

Righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. No matter how big your sin is, no matter how long you’ve sinned, no matter what you’ve done your sins have been forgiven through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. What once was scarlet, is now white as snow. You don’t have to live with the guilt and shame of your past because Jesus paid the ultimate price for you and your debt has been forgiven. Jesus has settled the matter for you and you have been made righteous in the eyes of God. Because of God’s grace and mercy through Jesus Christ, God has promised to forgive those who confess and repent from their sins.

Dear Lord, Thank you for your amazing grace, mercy and forgiveness. Thank you for the precious blood of Jesus Christ that has washed my sins away. Help me to let go of the shame and guilt of the past so that I may live my life for you. Amen

Jesus is the Greatest Gift

Verse of the Day:   John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

We are all sinners and the consequence of sin is death. But God loves each one of us so much He gave the greatest gift ever, His only Son, Jesus Christ. God gave us His Son and the Son gave His life for us that we might be saved. This was all part of God’s plan of salvation so we could repent and receive forgiveness of sins and receive the gift of eternal life. Because of God’s grace and mercy, the gift of salvation is available to all through Christ Jesus our Lord. But like every other gift, it must be received. You cannot buy it or earn it, but by faith you can receive the free gift of salvation.

To Seek and To Save

Verse of the Day:  Luke 19:10

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

Because of the actions of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden sin entered the world and separated us from God. But God loved us so much He made a way for us to be saved. He sent His only Son, Jesus, to this world to seek and to save the lost, to offer us the free gift of salvation. He rescued us from a life of sin, from the guilt of sin and from the power of sin when He paid the ultimate price on Calvary. He did this so our relationship with God could be restored. So then, what shall we do to receive this gift? Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:28) As followers of Christ, it’s our duty to share this Good News with the world while there is still time.

Grow

2 Peter 3 18

Verse of the Day:  2 Peter 3:18

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Christianity is long-term, it’s for all eternity and like every living thing it’s a growing process. We start off as babes and grow to full maturity, we develop as we grow. Growing doesn’t mean we never fail because we will never be perfect in this world. But, we do start to see our sin and the Holy Spirit’s convictions help us to repent from them. God will continue to work on you until the day Jesus comes for His church. We must do our part too, we can’t just stay where we are today we must continue working at it so that we may grow our knowledge of God, our relationship with God and our faith in God.

Turn to God for Salvation

Isaiah 45 22

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 45:22

Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

Turn to God and be saved.  You won’t find salvation in idols, in man, not even in yourself.  Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. (Acts 3:19) God loves you so much He made a way for you to be reconciled with Him when He sent His only Son, to die on the cross for your sins. Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Him. (John 14:6) Jesus is the Savior for the lost, the light for those in the dark, the strength for the weak, the comforter for the discouraged and the healer for the sick. God is offering you salvation while there is still time.

Consecrate Yourself

Joshua 3 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Joshua 3:5

Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

Joshua told the Israelites to consecrate themselves before they crossed the Jordan River to the promised land.  Before they would reach the designated promise, they had to sanctify themselves ceremonially and morally.  Likewise, before we can receive the amazing things God has planned for us we must turn away from sin, repent, and devote our lives to our heavenly Father. What you devote your time to determines what you will achieve.
