The Lifter of My Head

Psalm 3 3.jpg

Verse of the Day: Psalm 3:3

But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Thanksgiving Day is over and not everyone has or was able to spend time with family and friends. For some, the holidays can often be lonely and even a sad time. I sometimes feel it too. I miss loved ones that have gone to be with the Lord and those who can’t be near me. But we are not alone, God is with us in every moment of every day. If we focus on the Lord, His goodness and our blessings He will get us through it.

Smile, Jesus Loves You!

Proverbs 15 13

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 15:13

A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face; a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day.

Even though there may be things going on in our lives that make us feel sad, we cannot let them bring us down. There is still good in the world, there are still good people and there is still a reason to smile. If you’re having a bad day, feeling stressed out or feeling blue think about all the good things in your life and all that God has done for you. Sing joyfully to the Lord and let Him refresh your spirit. Count your blessings and not your troubles and remember, Jesus loves you and will never leave you and that’s more than enough reason to smile.

Getting Through Dark Days

Psalm 43 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 43:5

Why, my soul, are you downcast?  Why so disturbed within me?  Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Life is not always sunshine and flowers.  There are days when bad things happen, days when sadness creeps in and there are days when we just feel lonely.  In these times, you need to lift your head toward God and give praise to your Savior. God loves you more than you will ever know. Thank Him for all the good in your life.  Put your hope in God and rely on Him to get you through even the darkest of days.

Lead Me to the Rock

Psalm 61 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 61:2

From the end of the earth will I cry to thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

There are times when we may feel far from God, when we feel alone, when our heart feels sad and overwhelmed.  He is always there for you, He is in control and you can turn to Him with all your troubles.  Cry out to the Lord and ask Him to strengthen your faith, for He alone is your rock and your salvation.

The Lifter of My Head

Psalm 3 3

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 3:3

Thanksgiving Day is over and not everyone has or was able to spend time with family and friends.  For some, the holidays can be lonely and even a sad time. I sometimes feel it too. I miss loved ones that have passed and those who can’t be near me. But we are not alone, God is with us in every moment of every day. If we focus on the Lord, His goodness and our blessings He will get us through it.

Peace

John 14 27.jpg

Verse of the Day: John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Things are going to happen in life that make you sad, scared or are just hard to get through.  When your heart is hurting, troubled or afraid turn to Jesus, He’ll give you peace beyond compare.
