I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
Thanksgiving Day is quickly approaching and I thought it would be nice to share some of the things I am thankful for. The Lord has been so, so good to me. I am thankful for everything the Lord has done for me and like King David, I want to share His wonderful deeds and goodness with the world. I am grateful for another day of life, for my salvation and for God’s love, grace and mercy. Without them where would I be? The Lord rescued me from a life of sin and although I am not perfect, I am not who I used to be. He has broken the chains that bound me and set me free. I have a roof over my head, food on the table and clothes on my back. The Lord provides for all my needs and so much more. I have an amazing husband who loves the Lord, loves me and loves our family. I am blessed beyond measure!
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
To all Veterans who have humbly served our great nation in the United States Armed Forces, we thank you for your service, honor you for your selflessness and respect you for all you have sacrificed for our freedom. May God bless you always.
We live in one of the greatest countries in the world. We have civil liberties and fundamental rights that many others do not have and sometimes we take them for granted. One of our great liberties is freedom of religion, the right to practice whatever religion we choose and to worship in private and public and it is protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Thankfully, our military continues to fight for the preservation of our freedom. But there is someone else who died for our freedom and His name is JESUS! Jesus has set you free from the bondage of sin and has done what the law could not do. You are no longer a slave to sin but by the grace of God have been set free. Now that you have been set free it is up to you to use your freedom wisely. Instead of using your freedom to do whatever the flesh desires use it to humbly serve one another in love.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
The Bible teaches us that we are all born sinners with sinful, selfish natures. “Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people” (Romans 5:12) Jesus Christ came to set you free and offers freedom by being born again. He has the power to free your mind, body and soul from the bondage of sin and those that are set free by the Son are truly free. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. You will know the truth when your mind and your heart are opened to a greater understanding and clearer knowledge by studying and knowing the Word of God. If you accept and obey His teachings as truth you are true disciples.
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
When you are born again, you have a new identity in Christ and you are no longer a slave to sin. You no longer have to give in to your sinful nature. You are no longer under the command of Satan for sin, but under the command of God for righteousness. (Matthew Poole) Because you have been set free by the precious blood of Christ, you are now able to surrender your mind, body and soul to God. Devote yourself to righteousness and offer yourself to God in cheerful obedience as an instrument of faith, joy, hope, peace and love to be used for His purpose.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Jesus died on the cross for you so that you could be freed from sin and be made right with God. When you accept Jesus into your life you are freed from a life of sin. You are set free from the chains that bind you including the control, guilt and shame that sin has over you. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain that tries to restrain you and keep you living in a life of sin. When you are born again you become a new creation with a new way of thinking. You are given a second chance to be who God created you to be. Stand firm in your faith now and don’t go back to whatever sin God has already freed you from. You have the freedom to boldly come before the throne of grace and the power to be victorious!
When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”
Jesus already knows your condition and He is calling you to draw nearer because He loves you and has compassion for you. If you need healing come to Jesus. He can heal your mind, body and soul. Take the first step to receive healing and come to Jesus in faith. Whatever chains are holding you down, whatever illness, heartache or trauma, give it all to Him and let Him set you free and heal you.
